Without Grumbling

We should not complain.

It weakens His Holy Word.

We fall short of thanksgiving,

As we stumble in this world.

If we want an increase,

In any area of our life,

We must be more mindful,

In areas of anger and strife.

Grumbling comes way too easy.

Praising does not come enough.

It seems to be so natural,

To complain when times are tough.

Complaining is a lack of faith.

What is not of faith is sin.

It opens the soul wide open,

To let Satan creep right in.

Complaining of the circumstances,

Means you do not believe,

That God can change things,

And give your heart reprieve.

When you are all alone,

Your grumbling is far less.

We seem to need an audience,

To grumble or to confess.

We seek others sympathy,

So we grumble out loud.

We seek other’s pitty,

So we grumble in a crowd.

This moment is an opportunity,

To turn this thing around.

Do all things without grumbling,

And put Satan in the ground.

Turn your complaints into praise.

Quit continually asking “why?”.

Be grateful for His promises,

And turn your face to the sky.

If we believe God is in control,

Then why should we complain.

He has got our needs covered.

His grace and mercy remains.

We need to let our light shine,

Which others may follow and see,

And quit grumbling and complaining,

On that bumpy road to eternity.

1 Thessalonians 5:11-18

11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
