Shame extinguishes your hope

It is a burden and a weight.

It can destroy your future,

Cover love and seal your fate.

It is a sense of unworthiness,

Of the grace of God above.

No one can ever be worthy,

Of God’s undying love.

Shame is a weapon of the enemy.

It makes you run and hide in fear.

You will run from God’s voice,

The One who holds you dear.

Once you ask for forgiveness,

God remembers it no more.

There is no reason for shame.

Jesus was the One who restores.

He restores that relationship.

He opens the doors of love.

You never need to hide your face,

From your Father up above.

He sees you as perfect.

He calls you a friend.

He is faithful beyond measure,

And will be there in the end.

He never turns His back.

He waits for your beckon call.

He is the Master of the Universe,

And will lift you from the fall.

He provides the Only Way.

He provides the only means,

To wash away your shame,

And washes your soul clean.

Romans 10:8-11

8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

When a person feels ashamed of themselves, they avoid the person who they have offended. Shame becomes the barrier of that friendship. Satan knew what he was doing by introducing shame as a tool to separate us from communicating with our Father. God is so great that when He forgives, He forgets our sin, so there is no room for shame. If you believe that God has forgiven you, then you never have a barrier between you and Him. Shame makes you run and hide from God. It is as if He cannot see you if you fail to call on His Name. He is “all-seeing, all-knowing and all-loving”. He loves completely. We do not know what that feels like because we are not God. Our form of love is just a little version of His love. The love of Jesus covers our shame, so we can walk in victory over sin, over Satan and over death, Halleluiah!!!
