Power of Our Influence

Be careful of what you say.

Be careful of what you do.

You may be influencing others.

They may be watching you.

We have many opportunities,

To help another in life.

We should be positive,

And not bring about strife.

Jesus influenced us to be,

Better than we thought we could.

He influenced us to serve,

And do what we should.

We should serve one another,

In actions and in deeds.

We need to plant flowers,

And not scatter weeds.

Help someone who is hurting.

Help to raise them up,

Out of a world of misery,

Where things have gotten so corrupt.

Be a sample of God’s sweet love,

To everyone who you meet.

Whether it be in church,

Or to a stranger on the street.

If you take a look around,

It won’t take long to find,

Someone who needs attention,

And soothing of their mind.

God can work through you.

That is your purpose on earth,

To walk and be like Jesus,

As He gave you a new birth.

Mark 10:44-45

44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

45For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

The power of Jesus and His influence has lasted over these many years. His story has never gotten old. His influence still is evident today. The nations of Christians are alive and well and still trying to be an influence like He was. It was the behavior and choices that were recorded about Jesus that make people know Who He was and is. No other figure in the history of mankind has made such a powerful impact on our world. Some of the greatest people in history are those who had a personal connection with Jesus. Although they were not perfect, they were influential because of how they treated their fellow man. They were willing to be a servant to help their fellow man. It is our duty to try to be a person of influence to help another find a relationship with Jesus Christ.
