When you are feeling emptied,

God can fill you up.

He can take away your past,

And change what was once corrupt.

When you are an empty vessel,

There is room for a change.

God can fulfill your purpose.

Your life will be re-arranged.

When you are full of yourself,

There is less room to fill,

With His love and holiness,

And means to do God’s will.

You have to be willing,

To open your mind and heart.

Being and empty vessel,

Gives God a new start.

He created you holy.

His glory is yours to share.

He wants to use you today,

To show others how He cares.

If you stay empty of yourself,

You have more room within,

To pour out to others,

So that they too might win.

What treasures do you carry?

How will you pour it out?

You can be used by God.

That’s what life is about.

2 Timothy 2:19-22

19……,The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. and prepared unto every good work 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

If we concentrate on what will satisfy us, then we will lose our focus on the  purpose of our lives. We are earthen vessels meant to carry the “Good News” to others who do not know God. To do this, we must strive to walk in holiness. We need to honor God in all of our actions. We need to empty ourselves from only wanting things that make our earthly bodies feels good. There is nothing wrong with wanting food, water, shelter, clothing and other things in life, but when we put those things first, we weaken our need for God. If we have a weak faith, we have little to pass on to others who are struggling in life. Keep your vessel filled with the Word of God, so that when you have the opportunity, God’s love will pour from you.
