Attitude of Expectation

Take care in what you say.

Have a good attitude in life.

Words can produce results.

Choose joy or choose strife.

Let go of the bad thoughts,

That destroy joy in your soul.

Fill the mind with peace.

Think of God to make you whole.

Talk to God in the morning.

Talk of the good of today.

Ask for His comfort and direction,

To guide you along the way.

Then listen for His direction,

To find your source of peace.

His grace is sufficient.

To give your heart release.

Think about what you want.

Take your expectations to Him.

He will provide your needs.

With Him, you can win.

Walk with a winning attitude.

Hold you head up high.

Know that you are covered,

By the Creator of the earth and sky.

There is nothing He can’t do,

So cast upon Him your care.

He is all knowing and kind.

He is almighty and fair.

He loves His children equally.

He will hold us when we fall.

He is the lover of our souls.

He is the Master of us all.

Jeremiah 29:11-13

11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Psalm 5:3

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psalm 85:8

I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

Mark 1:35

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

David had much turmoil in his life and made some really bad choices and yet he was considered a “man after God’s own heart”. I think the reason He carried so much love from God, was because he continually talked to God. He would talk to God and then listen for God to reveal things to his soul. Jesus, Himself, talked to His Father in heaven during times of great happenings and sometimes just to keep His own mind straight. Yes Jesus was God, but He walked on this earth with human weaknesses and desires. He fought temptation. He experienced sorrow and disappointment. He experienced great fear and physical suffering of the extreme kind.  Jesus had a need of comfort. He had a need to maintain a good attitude. He walked with a God-given purpose and had to stay focused on the purpose of His life. God has a purpose for our life. We have to listen for His call to be able to have peace in our lives.  Walk in an attitude of anticipation for good things.
