Overcome Evil With Good
To fight off Satan’s attacks.
Overcome evil with good.
Keep a praise on your lips,
And do what you should.
Talk to God over and over.
Tell Him how good He is.
Don’t listen to Satan’s lies,
But bask in heavenly bliss.
Be ever mindful of God’s love.
Put on your armor of praise.
Letting go of bad attitude,
And lighten each and every day.
We have a choice to make.
What attitude do you want?
Cast your cares upon the Lord.
Don’t let Satan nag and taunt.
Face you battles without fear.
Tighten the belt of truth.
Know who you are in Christ.
Let peace be your fruit.
Cover yourself with faith.
Cover yourself with His Word.
You are prepared for the victory,
In this tainted and confusing world.
You are a favored warrior.
Your King will be with you.
He is your protector in life.
There is nothing you can’t do.
The joy of the Lord is your strength,
So live your life with cheer.
You are never alone in life.
Your Comforter is always near.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Every day in life can be a battle, but if you stay prepared every day, Satan cannot take you by surprise.
A soldier would never go into battle without his basic gear. He would be like prey, just waiting to be destroyed and consumed. Any Christian can stay prepared by putting on his armor every day. Start with putting on your praise. Talk to your Commander and Chief about what the day might hold. Then proclaim your battle cry: “I will live and not die. I will smile and not frown. I will sing and not mourn. I will love and not hate.” As you find your success in securing the promises of God, thank Him at the end of each day for His interception of the enemy, and for each victory. Walk into the battles of life prepared to walk as a child of the Most High King. Think of the band of angels that are surrounding you and have confidence in each step you take. Know that you are more precious that silver or gold to our Father in Heaven. Arm yourself with His Word and walk in confidence. You are victorious through Christ’s Holy Spirit, who lives in your soul.
