Allow Yourself Some Time

Allow yourself some time.

Give yourself some space.

Now robed in righteousness,

And covered by God’s grace.

You have been made new,

You are suddenly made whole.

You don’t know how to operate,

Your body with your soul.

God sees you as different.

Now it’s time for you to see,

What God has planned for you,

The person you were meant to be.

Satan will throw up your past.

He says you are less than you are.

You are a sparkling diamond.

You are a bright new star.

Your path is set before you,

But things are still not clear.

All that you know for sure,

Is that, to Jesus, you are so dear.

Loved enough to die for.

Perfect enough to give another,

The Word given to you,

Is meant to share with your brother.

You may feel awkward,

As a baby starting to walk.

God will guide your steps.

His Spirit will help you talk.

Faith takes much practice,

With episodes of success,

Every time God touches you,

And saves you from your mess.

Your beauty is more than skin deep.

It is His love that shines within.

You have been made righteous.

He erased those past sins.

The sins that are haunting you,

Are Satan’s wicked lies.

They are forgiven and forgotten,

By our God who is all wise.

He is wise and all loving.

You are proof of His grace.

Look at yourself in the mirror,

And see His loving face.

Isaiah 61:10

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

We need to see ourselves as beautiful, perfect, and free, after the time we came to ask for forgiveness and to claim Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We are “Brides of Christ”, meaning that He is preparing a place for us, where we will be safe and free from all harm. Many people cannot free themselves of the guilt of the past and see the ugliness of their past every time they view themselves.  They have to imagine themselves as beautiful in God’s eyes. He is smiling at the new person you have become. He is proud of your transformation. He has forgiven and forgotten all of your past transgression. You are as beautiful as the young bride walking down the aisle in a beautiful dress when all eyes are upon her. Think of yourself as that beautiful person walking closer and closer to your Lord and Savior as you walk through life. Do not look to the left or the right, but keep your eyes on the Bridegroom. Keep your eyes on Jesus and you will see yourself through His eyes. The past is gone and the future is bright. Allow yourself some time and space to see yourself as He sees you. It takes time and practice. It takes using His Words on yourself, until you believe it and can walk in your rich inheritance. You are a child of the King and are safe in His Kingdom.
