Pride Produces Impatience

We want what we want,

And we want it right now.

We expects God’s actions,

In our timing somehow.

We want to move ahead,

Not knowing if it is good.

We might need to stand in place,

And let God do as He would.

Patience is a good virtue.

It may take practice and time.

We need to wait upon the Lord,

Whose ways are sublime.

His ways are higher than our ways.

His timing is perfect too.

Pride produces impatience,

So let God do the work for you.

We may have to stay where we are,

Until we overcome our pride.

We need to see the big picture,

And put our wants aside.

Waiting is not fun to do,

So talk to God while you wait.

Be content in that conversation,

As He makes the crooked path straight.

God is in your circumstance.

He is not so far from you.

He is patiently waiting,

For your pride to leave too.

Pride is the arrogant feeling,

That you can handle it by yourself.

Go to the One Who is all powerful.

Don’t leave your Bible on the shelf.

Be satisfied where you’re at,

Until the timing is right.

Work in the daytime,

And rest throughout the night.

Being patient in your suffering,

Showing love and kindness to others.

Remember hey also have needs,

So pray for your sisters and brothers.

Patience takes practice.

You can’t do it all alone.

God is your sustenance,

And God will Guide you home.

James 5:7-11

7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Patience is a virtue and takes practice. Unfortunately it sometimes takes making it through times of trials. We have to come to a place where we understand that there are so many things that are not under our control. We have to let go of our pride and our thinking that we can make things happen in our lives. God is in control and if we give our requests to God, He will listen, but He will choose what is best for us and has perfect timing. We just have to reassure ourselves that He is watching over us and will protect us from harm and will supply all of our needs. If we believe that, then we will not try to work all things out by ourselves. We will move forward in confidence that it will all turn out okay. God loves us beyond measure and He is all powerful, so give your concerns to Him for Him to supply what is right and good.
