Directing My Way

The vessel is all set,

But the Captain is not here.

I dare not set sail,

Until the path has been cleared.

The vessel has been equipped,

For everything it needs.

The chart is within the ship,

To get to the next deed.

The vessel is not perfect,

But with the Captain in your soul.

You can accomplish it all.

You will be well and whole.

Your endurance will be strong,

As the waves toss you about.

When you are in trouble,

Just give the Captain a shout.

Ask Him to take the wheel,

And hold onto it real strong.

Keep Him in the center.

It is where the Captain belongs.

He will guide the ship,

And bring it safely home.

With the Captain on board,

You will never fight alone.

The Captain has all the knowledge,

That every ship-hand will need,

To complete every journey,

And finish each deed.

Trust the Captain with your soul.

He will never guide you wrong.

He will help you set the sail.

His Word will be your song.

Your sail has been set.

You are on your way.

The Captain will not abandon ship.

He is with you every day.

Matthew 8:24

24And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. 25And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. 26And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

We are like a vessel, created to carry something precious to someone else. We are not perfect and we may get tossed about in this life as we set sail. When we accepted Jesus as the Lord and Savior of our life, His Spirit was placed inside our soul, so that we do not have to face the frightening times by ourselves. He will point us in the right direction, if we use Him as our Captain to guide the way. Even when we feel all is lost, the Captain will not abandon the ship. It is His duty to carry us to safety. He will part the waters. He will calm the sea. All we have to do is to rely on His grace, mercy and love.
