A Blessed Nation
Our Nation will be blessed,
If we rely on our God above.
He has showered us with mercy,
And blessed us with His love.
Our Jesus set us free,
With His sacrifice on the cross.
He can protect our nation.
Without Him all will be lost.
We must keep God in the middle,
Of the choices that we make.
We must ask for His guidance,
To keep us from making mistakes.
We must pray for our leaders,
Because they can make mistakes too,
But if we ask for God’s blessings,
His mercy will shine through.
We are blessed to live in this country,
We have so much more than others.
We must pray for other nations,
Who are all sisters and brothers.
We could have been born anywhere,
In nations who are not free.
We are free to worship our God,
From now to eternity.
Our God is no secret.
He does not need a hiding place.
America has been blessed,
With His covering and grace.
Evil does exist everywhere,
But we can chase Satan away,
As we pray for God’s blessing,
He is with our nation to stay.
We have a great history.
Our military have taken our place.
They have fought to keep us free,
And have been covered by God’s grace.
May God continue to bless,
Our nation as we sing,
And give glory to our God,
Our One and Only King.
– If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
As I realize the difficulties in other lands, I also realize just how fortunate that I have been to be born in the United States of America. I know there is hunger in our nation, but as a whole, we have not known the suffering of hunger. For most of us, we have not known the dangers of drinking water that will make you sick. We have not felt the depression of nations without work and without hope. We may not be rich, but compared to other nations, we do not know real poverty. We do not appreciate a government who is willing to help the poor survive. We are letting those with loud voices lead to descent in our nation. We do not pray enough for our leaders. We do not thank God enough for all of the gifts he has bestowed upon a nation that was born under the love of God. We do not appreciate the right to praise God openly. We are not bound into poverty, but have the right to rise above our circumstances. We need to keep God in the middle of our flag of freedom. May God continue to bless America.
