Stay Committed

Stay committed to your future.

Let go of the past.

Stay focused on our Savior,

The way that will always last.

Don’t let your past mistakes,

Keep dragging you down.

Keep a smile on your face,

Letting go of the frown.

Realize the treasure you found,

Can be permanent in your life.

You can let go of the evil,

That has caused pain and strife.

You will feel the double favor,

From your Master up above.

He can offer you a freedom,

That is experienced from His love.

His love is perfect and true.

His grace is beyond all measure.

The sacrifice of His Son,

Is our greatest treasure.

Stay committed to your faith,

And the promises of God up above,

To experience His peace,

And the mercy of His love.

He was committed to you first.

He had a way to overcome all sin.

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice,

To allow us all to win.

We can win our place in eternity.

We can be in heaven eternally,

Because we are committed to Him,

The One who set us free.

1 Timothy 1:11

According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

The word committed in the Bible mostly refers to committing sin, but the word committed means “ the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.”. “Synonyms for committed are “ dedication, devotion, allegiance, loyalty, faithfulness, fidelity”. Check out each of those synonyms. Does that describe your relationship with God? Does that  describe how He treats you and how you treat Him? Commitment shows permanence to me, and that is what a relationship with God should be. Jesus was committed to us so much so that He suffered an awful death on the cross to redeem us and make us righteous again in His Father’s eyes. Nothing should be allowed to break that commitment between us.
