The Foundation of Salvation
The foundation of salvation,
Is believing in God above;
Believing in Jesus sacrifice,
And His abundant and amazing love.
It may be hard to understand,
A love so pure and strong,
To want to know a loving Father,
And that heaven, is where you belong.
There is nothing on this earth,
To compare what God has given;
A sacrifice so pure and perfect,
That it can open the doors to heaven.
Can you believe in a God so big,
That there is nothing that He can’t do?
We just need to ask for His favor,
And believe that He will follow through.
We must be strong in this world,
With the spiritual battles going on.
We must lean on our Creator,
For the adversary to be gone.
Satan would have us believe,
That we alone can determine our fate,
He will make you worry and fret.
He will destroy love and teach us hate.
The foundation of our success,,
Is believing that God lives in us.
We can overcome any problems,
And not have to fume and fuss.
God wants only good for us.
He loves us beyond compare.
We just have to believe,
To have His love to share.
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
When you think about God and all that He is and all that He has done, it seems impossible to imagine that He is real. We depend on our senses to learn about what is real and what is not real in this world. We see the world and all of its color and we know what we see is real. We taste good food and know it is real. We touch something hot and cold and experience that reality. We smell good or bad things and react to those smells as positive or negative. We experience physical pain and know that it is real. We also experience emotional pain and know it is real. When we talk about pain or love, another person cannot experience that same exact thing that we experience. The same experience can be said of God. We cannot see, smell, touch or taste God, but we can feel His presence. For many people, it is hard to place God in their life because He is of a realm above our senses. God gave each man a measure of faith, so everyone can develop that sense. Faith is to believe what we have not seen. Belief is the foundation of our salvation, so it is difficult to justify that it is real when someone of un-belief wants us to explain who God is and what He does. Even the atheist has been given a measure of faith, but they choose not to accept the truth of who God is or what Jesus did for us. That takes developing faith. A seed is just a seed and it will lay dormant unless it is taken care of. It needs to be planted in good soil and needs to be watered. Faith needs to be planted in good soil and be fed the Word to be developed into the being that God planned for us to be.
