The Foundation of Salvation

Jan 2018 011

The Foundation of Salvation

The foundation of salvation,

Is believing in God above;

Believing in Jesus sacrifice,

And His abundant and amazing love.

It may be hard to understand,

A love so pure and strong,

To want to know a loving Father,

And that heaven, is where you belong.

There is nothing on this earth,

To compare what God has given;

A sacrifice so pure and perfect,

That it can open the doors to heaven.

Can you believe in a God so big,

That there is nothing that He can’t do?

We just need to ask for His favor,

And believe that He will follow through.

We must be strong in this world,

With the spiritual battles going on.

We must lean on our Creator,

For the adversary to be gone.

Satan would have us believe,

That we alone can determine our fate,

He will make you worry and fret.

He will destroy love and teach us hate.

The foundation of our success,,

Is believing that God lives in us.

We can overcome any problems,

And not have to fume and fuss.

God wants only good for us.

He loves us beyond compare.

We just have to believe,

To have His love to share.

Romans12:1-6

1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. 4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

When you think about God and all that He is and all that He has done, it seems impossible to imagine that He is real. We depend on our senses to learn about what is real and what is not real in this world. We see the world and all of its color and we know what we see is real. We taste good food and know it is real. We touch something hot and cold and experience that reality. We smell good or bad things and react to those smells as positive or negative. We experience physical pain and know that it is real. We also experience emotional pain and know it is real. When we talk about pain or love, another person cannot experience that same exact thing that we experience. The same experience can be said of God.  We cannot see, smell, touch or taste God, but we can feel His presence. For many people, it is hard to place God in their life because He is of a realm above our senses. God gave each man a measure of faith, so everyone can develop that sense. Faith is to believe what we have not seen. Belief is the foundation of our salvation, so it is difficult to justify that it is real when someone of un-belief wants us to explain who God is and what He does. Even the atheist has been given a measure of faith, but they choose not to accept the truth of who God is or what Jesus did for us. That takes developing faith. A seed is just a seed and it will lay dormant unless it is taken care of. It needs to be planted in good soil and needs to be watered. Faith needs to be planted in good soil and be fed the Word to be developed into the being that God planned for us to be.

Believe, Pray and Say

Believe, Pray and Say

Faith takes patience,

In waiting for what you ask.

God is waiting and watching you,

As you complete every task.

You must love God first,

And accept the love from Him.

Jesus gave His life for you,

To take away your sin.

You must love yourself,

To be able to give love to others.

God expects us to love all,

Calling them sister and brother.

Go forward and believe,

Even if you don’t see it.

Have patience in the wait,

And don’t grumble and fret.

Continue to talk to God.

Pray to Him every day

Faith in Him brings results.

Give Him the credit as you pray.

Brag about your God,

And all that He has done for you.

He loves the praises of His people.

Let your faith shine through.

Walk in faith each day.

Honor your God on His throne.

Spending time with God,

Makes you never walk alone.

Hebrews 11:1-3

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Faith takes time to develop, but a person must feel God’s presence in their life to be able to tolerate the wait. We have to hold onto God’s promises, even when our world seems to be falling apart. Waiting is what shows that we have faith because we believe in things that cannot be seen. With faith, we have a positive expectation that tomorrow will be better. Faith is walking through the fears of life. Everyone has times in life where they are confused about what to do and what the results of their decision will be, so they have to use their faith to make the decision. They live with the expectation that their choice will cause better things to happen. Their faith should be faith in God and not faith in themselves. Our life is in God’s hands, so we must talk to Him, wait on Him, and acknowledge His goodness and mercy.

Lead with Your Heart

Lead with Your Heart

Lead with your heart,

But don’t forget your head.

Use what God gives you,

And use what you have read.

When you put God first,

You can pray, say, and do.

You have to use your faith,

And let Him help you through.

Say the same thing that God says,

And believe that it is true.

Even if it takes some time,

Do what He has put in you.

There is no map to life,

So let God lead the way.

It may not make a lot of sense.

That is when it’s time to pray.

Take one step at a time,

And see if it feels good and right.

You will feel peace where you are at,

And sleep more peaceably at night.

Listen with your head,

But lead with your heart.

Use the Faith that God gave you,

As He helps you get a start.

Praying, saying and doing,

Is how you use your faith each day.

Your actions will show your faith,

As you let God lead the way.

2 Corinthians 5 : 1-8

1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Many times when we speak about our heart, we are not speaking about the organ that is essential for life. We are speaking about what makes us who we are. We are actually speaking of our spirit which is our soul. The body that our soul lives in has to survive for us to do the will of God. We are His living tabernacle. His Spirit lives in us and it can work through us if we are willing to work with God to try to figure out what He would have us do in life. When you hear the words to “follow your heart”, it does not mean to act out of emotion, but it means to follow what God puts on your heart to do.

Faith

Faith

We can choose to have faith in God.

It’s the way we should live our life.

Faith keeps us going forward.

It helps through troubles and strife.

We can have faith in His mercy.

We can believe in His infinite love.

We can have so many things,

If we ask our Father above.

He has promised us many things.

There are promises in the Book.

We may be living below our means,

Because we haven’t bothered to look.

He wants us to go to Him each day.

He wants to fulfil our needs.

He does not want us to be empty.

He wants us to do good deeds.

By giving to others, we receive.

It is a principle of God above.

There is no limit to God’s goodness.

He has an abundance of pure love.

Have faith in His greatness.

There is none greater than Him.

He loves the man he made,

And wants for them to win.

Fight the good fight of faith.

Do not give up or give in today.

Walk in confidence and faith,

As you walk with Him each day.

God holds our tomorrow,

And will help you each day.

Have faith in the Master,

And thank Him as you pray.

Ephesians 2:8-10

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Human beings live by faith and the Bible says that every man is given a measure of faith. Even a baby has faith as he takes his first steps. He believes that he can do it. People have to choose what they want to believe in and have faith in. they can believe in their own ability and accomplish much, but end up losing eternity in the end because they did not believe in Jesus Christ. God gives us each natural abilities that we should use for His glory. We will need faith for those callings in our life to grow and will need to feed our souls with the Word of God to have the abundance of peace that a person can have by following the will of God.

Unwise Decisons

Jan 2018 178

Unwise Decisions

What place does God have,

In your decisions every day?

Living life can be complicated,

So you need to go to God and pray.

We must seek wisdom from God,

For what it is that matters most.

Does your choice show God’s love.

Are you walking with His Holy Ghost.

To seek what is worldly,

Can cause you grief and doom.

You will forget to leave the space,

To let God enter the room.

The world is full of foolishness,

Things that do not matter at all.

If you look for God’s purpose,

You will be protected from a fall.

When you first walked with Him,

Your focus was set and clear.

You wanted only to live for Him,

You were freed from guilt and fear.

There are two types of wisdom,

The earthly and demonic kind.

It is what man can do without God.

It is only using your mind.

There is the Godly kind of wisdom,

That comes from God above.

It comes from the heart,

And it results in spreading His love.

His wisdom will bring peace,

In all decisions that you make.

Choose to live wisely with God.

Any other way is a mistake.

TRW 1-14-17

James 3:13-18

13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

It is hard to evaluate why we make the decisions that we do every day. Sometimes we just act and do not think. Are we living for self-gratification only or do we believe that we have a God-given purpose in our lives? Were we created to be an intricate part of God’s plan? Was it us who were supposed to be an example of God’s love today?  If we are following the Master’s plan, then we better spend some time with Him for the directions. The world is a complicated place and we can get lost so easily by putting our earthly desires first. Do we seek food, water and shelter? What about acceptance? Most of us do all four things naturally and that in itself is not unhealthy or selfish. It is  the acceptance part that can lead us in the wrong direction. Do we seek acceptance from man or from God? Do we want God’s ways or man’s ways? God’s way is the way to peace and true happiness, so stay focused on God in all of your decisions concerning His purpose for your life.

God First

20180110_175637.jpg

God First

Put God first,

And in all you do and say,

Talk to Him first,

As you start each day.

Be sincere in repentance.

Enjoy the happy times too.

God can be your resource,

In everything that you do.

Don’t try to hide from God.

He knows your every move.

Just love God sincerely.

There is nothing you need to prove.

Jesus proved it all.

He gave all that He could.

He gave you life with His death,

So love Him like you should.

You are nothing without Him.

With Him you have it all.

He will guide and protect you,

And keep you from the fall.

Represent your God with wisdom.

Talk how you should talk.

You are representing your God,

In your daily walk.

Put God first.

Ask Him for His grace.

Let His love show through you.

Show others love in their race.

All have a destination.

All fight battles too.

Put God in the forefront,

And He will follow through.

TRW 1-11-18

James 4:6-8

6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Salvation comes in an instant, when you ask God for forgiveness as you asked Jesus into your heart. What follows after salvation should be the desire to really get to know God more. If you read about Him, and talk to Him every day and throughout your day, you will find true wealth and wisdom. You will become stronger as you make it through each trial. Your tests will become your testimonies. Your testimonies are about His grace and love and not your strength and wisdom. It is all about God and He should be put first. Jesus made His life all about us when He died for our salvation. The great thing about God is that when you put Him first, you always come out on top.   20180110_175319.jpg

Intimacy with the Master

beach 087

Intimacy with the Master

How close do you want to be,

With the master of earth and sea?

Are you willing to call on Him each day,

Taking time to study and to pray?

Do you seek His Holy Spirit?

Can you feel Him in your heart?

Do you trust Him with your thoughts?

This is where intimacy will start.
Do you honor the sacrifice of Jesus,

By turning away from sin,

Or do you take the easy way,

And give into Satan and to sin?
Do you trust Him with your family?
Do you trust Him with your friends?
Do you believe He wants what is good,
For you and your family in the end?
Where is God in your life?

Do you follow His commands?
Do you love God above yourself?
Do you love your fellow-man?

Do you want things or do you want God?
What is in your heart, mind and soul?
He is the only One that can help.
He, alone, can make you whole.
Do you depend on Him daily,
To fill all of your needs?
Do you honor His Holy Name,

Through your works and your deeds?

Each day is a filling process,
As you use your resources each day.
Go to the filling station of God,
Consuming His love as you pray.

This love will build up in you,

So that you will be able to overflow,
Giving God’s love to others,

Some, who you may not know.
This is true intimacy with the Father,
To do His will while here on earth
As we wait for eternity with Him,

And have our second re-birth.

Deuteronomy 28:1-13

1 Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee. 11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

A Person of Value

A Person of Value

You were created by God.

You are a person of value to me.

We have all been prisoners,

But by Jesus we are set free.

Free to live forever,

In a place called Paradise.

To be present with our Creator,

To be free of stains and vice.

God will welcome His children,

Home to heaven on high.

Each is a special treasure.

Each like a shining star.

Blessed by His goodness,

Engulfed in His love,

He will welcome us home,

To heaven up above.

You are pure as the driven snow,

You are perfect in every way.

We will meet you in heaven,

On any given day.

We will walk together in Glory Land,

And live each day in perfect peace,

But first we must surrender here,

To give our souls release.

We are all persons of value,

Each different in every way.

There is no division in heaven.

It is where I long to stay.

To be forever re-united,

With loved ones here on earth,

Who are forever in peace,

And enjoying their re-birth.

James 2: 1-7

1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;

3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:

4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?

God does not judge us by what we have, but by what we do. First we all must accept Jesus as out Lord and Savior to be able to live in communion with God. Jesus is the only one who can tear the curtain of sin that has been disconnecting, or been a barrier between us and God. Paradise was a place where man and God walked together and talked together. Satan destroyed paradise and brought sin and shame into our lives. Once we have proclaimed Jesus as our Savior, we can ask God for forgiveness of all of our sins and we can be made brand new. God values each and every life, but He has also given Man a choice of what he wants to believe and how he wants to behave. Once a person is re-born, he can choose to have more peace by doing God’s will and loving all of mankind by doing what he can to share that love and peace that he has been freely given by God, our Father.

Victorious

Victorious

Trials force us to faith.

Trials open the way.

To learn to lean on God,

To help us through each day.

You can learn to be content,

And not lose your joy.

You can make it through each battle.

You are not the devil’s toy.

All things can work together,

To clear a person’s mind.

You can find your joy.

You can learn to un-wind.

You can overcome your trials,

Through the blood of the Lamb.

He can cleanse your soul.

He will give you a hand.

He will pick you up,

Out of a pit of despair.

He is your healer and comforter,

And He will always care.

He gave His life for you,

And He gave His life for me.

He was the only sacrifice,

That could set our souls free.

He gave His life for you,

So you can trust in Him.

You can be victorious.

He will help you win.

TRW 1-03-18

James 1:2-6

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

If you seek Him, you can find Him. God treats all of His children the same, if you are new to His family of believers or if you have walked with Him your whole life. He has that much love for you. All men have sinned and come short of the right to have a relationship with God. He welcomes all to dine at His table and in His presence but this can only be done because He sent His son Jesus to be the sacrifice for our sins. Jesus took the barrier of sin away from us so that we could walk in communion with the only true and living God. Jesus suffered horribly so that we could be forgiven. He died, but he rose again, so that we also could rise again after our deaths. Jesus won the victory over death. All of this can happen if we just take a chance and believe. We do not need to know everything before we ask for forgiveness and accept Christ as our Savior. He will accept us as little children who have faith that their heavenly Father loves them and will take care of them. Jesus left us His comforter, the Holy Spirit who will help you develop your faith. Trials can lead to a deeper faith, because we understand that we need to lean on God as our source of strength and Jesus as our source of victory. There are three persons in one God and this is a mystery, but it is what the Holy Bible teaches. The Bible is your tool box and it is full of treasures waiting for you.
