Standing Amazed

Expect the Best

christmas 2018 297

Expect the best from God.

He is the author of all that is good.

Sickness and hatred are from Satan.

Reach for God Almighty as you should.

Satan is masterful at deceit.

He will dress up all that is bad.

He will leave you torn and broken.

Your happy spirit will become sad.

Your spirit had been given a measure,

Of faith to believe in God above.

He is the author of your happiness,

And the provider of true love.

Satan tells you that you are unworthy.

He laughs each time that you fall.

He left the safety of His Creator,

And silenced His Creators call.

He can never be redeemed.

He left the Father’s light.

He created his own demise.

He accepted his own plight.

We have a choice to make;

Satan or God up above.

Do you want the pain of Satan,

Or the comfort of eternal Love.

Psalms 1 :1-6

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Always look for what is good. Don’t let Satan break your spirit and let you become an angry person who wants to hurt others. Delight in the love of God and spread that love to others in everything that you do. Walk as the favored child of the King and expect the best, even while you are walking in hard times.

The Weeds and the Wheat

The weeds and the wheat,

Grow together on this earth.

At the time of the harvest,

There will be a re-birth.

Sometimes the weeds choke out,

The wheat that was meant to be.

There is a faithful gardener,

That has the heart to see.

He sees those that are struggling,

As they get caught up in sin and strife,

But He has come to save the wheat,

And preserve them for a new life.

The roots of weeds grow deeper,

As the wheat struggles to survive.

The gardener tells you to drink His Word,

And that you will be well and alive.

The harvest will separate,

The wheat and the weed.

God will take up the wheat,

And all of the good seed.

The weeds will be cast down,

And be burnt in hell below.

It is like all of mankind,

They will reap whatever they sow.

TRW 1-20-19

Matthew 13:37

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Satan is the one who sows the bad seed. Sin seems to thrive, while good seems to be withering in this world. Be assured that God is watching and in the end the good wheat and the weeds will be separated and the weeds will never be allowed in heaven. In heaven there will be no more torment or pain which is caused by the sower of the weeds. While we are in this field of life, we need to soak in the water of the Word to overcome the weeds that try to choke us out. We will win in the end and be gathered by our Master and Creator.

Pruned to Perfection

I was like the wild apple tree.

I lost the direction in my life.

I searched for happiness,

And left myself open to strife.

My gardener was watching me,

As I was losing my direction.

He started the pruning process.

My soul needed some correction.

My God knows when to prune,

And when to let me grow.

He will wait for a better time,

For me to be able to sow.

During this process of growth,

I need to soak in His Word,

So I will be ready to yield a crop,

When I am ready for this world.

He will take off the limbs,

That will lead to the wrong direction.

I will trust Him in the cutback season,

And grow better with each correction.

He will take my mistakes,

And help me to overcome.

I will bear His fruit to others.

He is where my strength comes from.

Psalms 1:3 – And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Ecclesiates 3:1-2  1 To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up [that which is] planted;

During the times of change in your life, believe that God’s hand is still on your life. It is easy to get tired and discouraged when you feel your prayers are not being answered. You may feel stuck in a position of no growth, but continue to read the scripture and listen to good direction while you wait. Believe that God is forming you so that you can produce the fruit of His love at the right time and in the right place.

janies butterflies

I am an overcomer.

I was in the lion’s den.

I could rest in peace,

Because of my dearest friend.

I could overlook the temptation,

It had no pleasure for me.

My dearest friend fought the battle.

He won it and set me free.

I saw the temptation of drugs.

I saw people living wild and free,

But I had been set aside,

For a mansion in eternity.

There was a time in life,

That I was tempted at every end,

But then I asked for forgiveness,

And I asked my Savior in.

The battle I was facing,

Was from the choices I made.

I ignored who I was meant to be,

As I entered into the shade.

I thought I was strong enough,

To overcome the temptations I saw.

I took a chance with my soul,

And ignored my Master’s call.

I shudder at the thought,

Of what could have happened there.

I was facing a slow death,

With those who said they cared.

My God sent a band of angels.

He fought my battle to the end.

I could rest in the assurance,

That He was my truest friend.

He cleaned up my filthy rags,

And He elevated my soul.

He filled in what was missing.

He made me well and whole.

I was able to sleep in the pit.

I survived the lion’s snare,

Because my loving Savior,

Was awake and protected me there.

Daniel 6:22-23

22My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me:…. 23Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

Many times in life, people make the wrong choices and find themselves in the middle of a battle that they did not need to be in. There are times that people cannot seem to see the danger in having just a little bit of fun. It is not really fun at all, but it is sin disguised as fun. Satan is good about placing temptation in front of a person and decorate the danger to tempt the person to try it out. They think they are strong enough to get back out of the battel that they have entered into. Some people never make it out of the pit of drugs or alcohol or any other sin. They lose the battle because they do not allow God to fight the battle. God is the only one who is strong enough to take on Satan.

I Left

I left the home of my Father.

I followed my own will.

Satan showed me my desires,

But my Father loved me still.

My Father watched and waited.

He wanted me to come home.

I made many mistakes in life,

When I took off and wanted to roam.

I went into the wild life.

It felt good for a season.

I don’t remember why I left.

I did not have a real good reason.

I found myself wandering.

I could not find my way.

I went further than I intended,

But I did not want to stay.

One sin led to another.

I felt dirty and no good.

I knew I was lost and alone,

And not doing as I should.

My guilt was a big burden,

But I kept seeing my Father’s face.

I wanted His safe shelter.

I needed His love and grace.

I had traded my inheritance,

For a season of misery and grief.

The devil told me many lies,

And ruined my life like a thief.

I was in a hog pen of life.

It was not where I planned to be.

I was captured by lies and lust,

But longed to be alive and free,

I found myself lost and alone.

I got on my knees and prayed.

I went back to my Father,

And that is where I stayed.

He showed me His great love,

As if I had never been gone.

He forgot that I left Him,

And all that I had done wrong.

This is the safe place I wanted.

This is where I belonged.

He washed me as white as snow.

His blood has been made strong.

Luke 15:22–  But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

The story of the prodigal son is so much like the story of drug addiction. Satan tempts a person to think that there is happiness to be found away from the safety of home. Many people who give into drugs do not have a good home life, but they trade whatever they have for their next “high”. They go way further than they intended. They take one further step into the darkness of sin. Drugs affect more than the person taking them. Drugs steal from the whole family. This is the biggest and the worst lie of Satan. Addiction is hard to overcome and many times it leads to certain death. The Father’s house is their only chance for life. Pray for those addicted to help lift them up from the hog pen.

Covered by Daddy’s Love

Covered by Daddy’s blessing,

Encircled by a father’s love,

There is comfort and protection,

From Our Father up above.

He can provide the comfort.

He watches you every day.

He has an abundance of grace,

To help you along life’s way.

He beckons you to go to Him,

Anytime you have a need.

You will feel His favor,

In actions and in deeds.

A Daddy is always watching,

To pick you up when you fall.

He will be there in an instant.

He will hear you when you call.

He will stand beside you,

When your world is falling apart.

He has loved you from your birth.

You are engraved in His heart.

You are forever covered,

By your Father up above.

You will find peace in His Word,

And courage from your Daddy’s love.

3 John 1:4 – I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Colossians 3:21 – Fathers, provoke not your children [to anger], lest they be discouraged.
Ephesians 6:1 – Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Isaiah 54:13 – And all thy children [shall be] taught of the LORD; and great [shall be] the peace of thy children.

There is something special about a father’s love and most children seek the approval of their fathers. A father is usually the disciplinarian and sometimes causes fear, whether it be by their voice or their actions. The father knows that their children will one day be grown and be responsible to raise their own family, so they do what they can to prepare them for their future. A good father teaches their children, without chastisement, how to work and how to play. The most important role of a good father is to introduce their children to Father God in heaven. They need to set an example of being a “Godly” parent who teaches by example by taking them to church and reading and discussing the Bible. A child needs to feel like they have protection even beyond the life of their earthly father. If they know God, they will always be able to have confidence in their protection and their life in eternity.

In the Midst of it All

Good things can line up,

If it is in God’s will.

Keep the dream in your heart,

And then listen and be still.

God has a plan for you,

And His plans for you are good.

Look to the Word of God,

For your spiritual food.

He will give you nourishment,

To fulfill your every dream.

He will answer your prayers.

He holds you in great esteem.

You are important to Him.

He sees your future life.

He has happiness in store,

Not just pain and strife.

You have to trust in His Word,

And learn to trust in His ways.

Learn how to live for Him,

In all your earthly days.

He is in the midst of it all.

He is here right now.

You can accomplish your dream,

With Him in the middle somehow.

You can reach out and touch Him,

Because His Spirit lives in you.

He will help you each day,

In what you want to do.

Matthew 18:20

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth

We all have dreams of what we want to be and what we want to have in this life. It is easy to get distracted and confused with all of the choices that we have to make. We cannot just sit and wait for God to just lay out the plan in front of us. We will not get a special delivery at the door, that has life all laid out for us. We have to exercise good judgement in our choices and then watch and see what God lines up for us. If it is a dead end, then we need to start all over again. We need to pray about life’s choices, but we cannot expect God just to tie our future up in a bright shiny bow and then just bask in His grace. Living this life takes effort, but it is so much easier if we believe that God will open the right paths at the right time. All good things come from God. Give Him all the glory for what He has done and how faithful He has been to you.

His Eyes are Upon You

You are never left alone.

God’s eyes are upon you.

He created the universe.

He sees everything you do.

You were created in His likeness.

You were not meant to fall,

But then Satan entered in,

And ruined it for one and all.

We needed a savior.

We needed a perfect one.

He sent us a part of Him.

He sent us His only Son.

He would become a perfect sacrifice,

To erase all of our sin.

He came for one and all,

So that everyone may win.

His eyes are upon you,

As you make your choice in life.

You can choose peace and joy,

Or accept pain and strife.

He made you a free agent.

The choice is yours to make.

He is the only way to happiness,

So do not make a mistake.

Do not listen to Satan’s lies.

Do not be fooled by a quick high.

Understand who you are,

You are the apple of God’s eye.

The Truth is in His Word,

So read it from the Holy Book.

He will guide and direct you,

Every time you take a look.

You are never left alone.

God’s eyes are upon you.

He wants you with Him.

His Spirit will help you through.

1 Peter 3:12

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

God sees all things, knows all things, and can do all things. His ways are perfect. We cannot understand perfection, but we ca understand when we are satisfied with something. We desire more than satisfaction. We were made in the image and the likeness of God and God is Truth. Truth gives us peace because there is no variable to truth. There is no such thing as almost true. Truth cannot let doubt enter in. Doubt is a tool of Satan. He plans to try to confuse us and show us something that looks like it would cause us happiness. That temporary happiness will not last. God is the only way to permanent happiness and Jesus is the only Way to have access to God, so we must accept the Truth of His Birth, His death and His resurrection. This is the only Way to the Truth.

Autograph Your Life

Autograph your life with excellence.

Show others the God that is in you.

Consider everything you say,

As others are watching what you do.

You bear His name so show it.

Walk in the light of His love.

Be willing to be kind to others,

As Your Father has been from above.

Give someone else a break,

When life has broken their heart.

Offer them the Word of God,

To give them a jump-start.

They need to put the past at rest,

And look forward to the days ahead.

Not stay buried in their troubles

Our Jesus can resurrect the dead.

A person must look up to Him,

And believe in His abundant grace,

To be able to go past their sorrows,

And put a smile upon their face.

Show others the face of God,

In everything you say and do.

Then offer them your best Friend,

And let Him take them through.

He can take them through the fire.

He can calm the storms at sea.

Autograph your life with excellence,

So that they can also be set free.

Free of condemnation,

Free of sorrow and grief,

Free of Satan’s power.

He is a liar and a thief.

You too have qualities of excellence,

That need to be seen by others,

So that you can lead them to Jesus,

To become as sisters and brothers.

Colossians 3:23-24 – And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
2 Timothy 2:15 – Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

1 Corinthians 10:31 – Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Matthew 5:16 – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
1 Corinthians 15:58 – Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Romans 15:1-33 – We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Living your life with excellence will represent God well. Jesus came to this earth to show us how it was to be done. He showed us how life was to be lived with love and forgiveness in our hearts. We are to help those who are struggling in life by praying for them and offering the grace of your Best Friend.
