Standing Amazed

Lost in the Battle

Lost in the Battle

When the battle goes on and on,

The soul feels so weak.

They stumble and fall,

Until the Father, they seek.

Don’t look at the misery,

But focus on what’s ahead.

Satan wants to ruin your soul,

He plans to leave you for dead.

God has a band of angels,

That He sent just for you.

They will lift you in your weakness.

They will pull you through.

Don’t give in to weariness,

Because your strength will go too.

You can get lost in the battle,

And will not know what to do.

Your darkest days are etched,

Forever in your mind,

But they give you courage,

To put it all behind.

You can go forward,

Without needing to look back.

You have the Holy Spirit,

To help you stay on track.

You may feel tired,

But don’t talk about it.

Cover your thoughts with faith,

Never be willing to quit.

Leave the battle behind,

You have better things to do.

Stand firm in your faith,

In the battles you walk through.

Matthew 4:6

And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Even Satan realizes that God has given you angels charge over you to protect you when you think you are facing the greatest battles of your life. Jesus was suffering extreme physical and mental anguish in the garden before His death. Satan even tried to attack Jesus, the Son of God, but he taunted Jesus by reminding Him that He was protected by heavenly hosts. Jesus knew that He had help in the worst battle of His life on earth. His help was the scripture. He used the scripture as the weapons to secure the battlefield. He found strength in the word of God. Keep the scriptures in your mind and heart to call upon them when you are in distress and find yourself tired in the battles of life.

Love is an Action

Love is an Action

Love is an action.

It is what we are to do.

It is a commandment of God.

Love is honest and true.

Follow God’s example.

He is the truth and the way.

Work on loving one another.

Practice love every day.

Do an act of kindness,

To a friend or to a foe.

Keep your heart opened,

Everywhere you go.

The world will judge you,

On how you act each day.

Show God’s mercy and grace,

In what you do and say.

Jesus was a perfect example.

He put our need above His own.

He laid down His life for us,

So that we could find our way home.

When you give love away,

It will come back to you.

Love is not just a word.

It is what we are born to do.

Love fills all the void,

Love enlightens our soul.

Love is our source of strength.

God’s love makes us whole.

1 John 3:23

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

1 Corinthians 13:1-

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

This chapter of the Bible is considered the “love” chapter. It is used frequently at weddings. Jesus spent His lifetime on earth as a living example of love. He sought out people who were lost and were outcast, so that He could assure them that they also were children of God and worthy of love and expected to share love. We have to practice love until it becomes second nature to us. It is easier to be angry at someone when they are mean to you than to give them your love, but this is what God expects of us. When Jesus was dying on the cross, He asked His Father to forgive those who committed such an act, to “forgive them, for they know not what they do”.

They have forsaken Me.

They have forgotten Who I Am.

They forget my infinite power.

I AM where they began.

They mutter and complain,

About how life is treating them.

They forgot the Holy Spirit,

Their true and closest friend.

They forget to call on Me,

When they know not where to turn.

I am the answer to their concerns.

Completeness is what they yearn.

I am the Living Water.

My love will never run dry.

They can count on Me in trouble.

There is no need to cry.

I can bring them joy.

I can offer them peace.

My love will cover all.

My grace will never cease.

I AM waiting for them.

They have to make the call.

I can see where they are at.

I can see them as they fall.

They just have to ask.

I AM listening for their voice.

I will not force their love.

I made man with a choice.

Jeremiah 2:13

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

The word forsaken means to entirely turn away from it. It also means to be deserted or abandoned. Man was made to have fellowship. They were made in the image and likeness of God. God chose us to be His companions. He wants to hear from us all the time. He wants us to talk to Him about our life. Think about taking a relaxing walk with a friend. Sometimes the talk is filled with chatter and catching up with what has gone on in their life. Sometimes it is just walking with them because we enjoy their company. You can walk in silence because you trust them enough to listen to your silence as easily as they listen to your concerns. When we go to visit someone, we usually share good times and bad. We trust our friend with most of our conversation, but there are some things that we cannot even share with our closest friend. You can share anything with God because He already knows. Sometimes you can just call on the name of Jesus and ask Him to walk with you, and you can feel peace set in just because He is present. Do not forsake the One who made you and loves you and wants to take a walk with you.

Change of Focus

Change of Focus

I need to change my focus,

And take my mind off of me.

I need to consume His Word,

To find out who I am to be.

I will roll it over and over,

Until His Word becomes clear.

He can cause me peace and joy,

Instead of sadness and fear.

Looking at that scripture again,

I am at another phase in my life.

I cannot change yesterday,

With all its troubles and strife.

I will look for a new tomorrow.

I will claim His goodness today.

No weapon can be formed against me,

As I use His Name and pray.

I want to hear a good report.

I am tired of the confusion here.

I will listen for His Spirit,

To make this life more clear.

I will not quit at opposition,

Because I have the tools I need.

He will go before me on this path.

He will cover my every deed.

I will find the words of comfort.

I will find the promises for me.

I will recite it over and over,

Until I am finally set free.

TRW 9-21-17

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Psalm 1:1-3

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Woe is me. Woe is me. We cannot have this attitude and expect good results. We must seek and see victory in our life. How can we do this when life is so confusing and hard? We have to lean on the scripture and recite God’s Word of encouragement. We need to claim what is good in life and not what is bad. We have to walk in faith and belief that God has you covered and will not let harm come to you. Satan tries to throw all kinds of troubles and fear in your path and makes you feel like less than you are. You are a child of the King and have the right to a rich inheritance. Walk in determination, not to let the thief take what belongs to you. You are promised peace and joy. Satan cannot steal that unless you let him. We are in a spiritual warfare and he cannot get to your spirit, unless you let him. Tell Satan you choose God’s promises over the enemy’s  lies. You choose joy over sadness. You choose peace over turmoil. You choose health over sickness. You choose God. He is your stronghold and no weapons formed against you shall prosper. When things seem unclear, just change your focus.

Puzzle Slush

Puzzle Slush

There’s too many pieces in life.

I’m not exactly sure how I fit in.

I am still confused somedays,

Even when I have been freed of sin.

I look like every other piece,

The picture is still not clear.

I am mainly blue or green,

So when will the picture appear?

I’ve tried to fit in at times,

But that was the wrong choice.

I’ve turned my life around.

I’ve listened for His voice.

Some wrong choices were obvious,

As I clashed with what was next.

Life’s puzzle is like a great novel,

With twists and turns in the text.

I know the finished product,

Will finally make sense to me.

God can see the whole picture,

And what I am meant to be.

I will one day be picture perfect,

When this puzzle of life is through,

But until that time I will strive,

For His Spirit to tell me what to do.

I will then see the big picture,

Instead of the puzzle slush of today.

He will seal all the little pieces,

So that nothing important will slip away.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

2 Corinthians 6:14

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Hebrews 5:9

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Sometimes in life, we make the mistake of trying to fit in to another person’s picture, instead of waiting for the right pieces of our own life to fall into place. We try to make our own life seem to make sense, just to find out that it is sometimes impossible to make sense out of life. We need to know the perimeters that need to be set so that the picture will not fall totally apart. We also need a picture guide to see what we are supposed to look like in the end. The guide is the Holy Bible and the Word says it is the devil who confuses and destroys. So instead of trying so hard, a person sometimes needs to step back and put the picture back into God’s hands. He is the author of perfection and He knows what we should look like and how we fit into His plan. We are not puzzle slush, but an intricate and important piece to the puzzle of life. Without us, the picture will not be complete.  Let the Master do His work in you and believe that He is the author and the finisher of your faith.

Season of Preparation

Season of Preparation

You are a child of God,

So be filled with hope.

You have all you need.

He will help you cope.

You have a rich inheritance.

There is an abundance for you.

With all that He has given,

There is nothing you can’t do.

God does not bring heartache.

God does not cause fear.

He will never leave you.

He is forever near.

God is the great Builder.

He does not destroy.

He will fill your emptiness.

He will supply peace and joy.

Be prepared for a disaster,

As Satan tries to enter in.

He will bring about havoc.

He is the author of all sin.

Compile the tools you have,

To survive your battle here.

Prepare for a new season,

That may have some tears.

There is a great season coming.

The time is coming soon.

Get past your midnight hour.

Be ready for the sun of noon.

Keep only what you need,

Leaving the dust behind.

God will guide your steps,

And give you a peace of mind.

John 16:32

Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

When we are troubled by circumstances in life, we feel as if we are all alone in that problem. We feel like no one else can understand. It is as if we have been cut off from the herd. That is truer than what we realize, because that is a trick and a lie of the devil. He tries to get you all alone, so that he can fill your mind with all kinds of fears. It is times like these that we must surround ourselves with the Word of God. It is there for the asking. His Word is the only source of true strength. It has to be our life source as Satan tries to take us out. Our behaviors follow our beliefs. If we feel as if we have been defeated, then we will walk in defeat and be prey for whatever evil is out there. If we believe that we are a child of the King, then we will walk with courage, because we know that He has the power to protect us from our foes. It is important that we stay prepared. We have been warned that there is an awful storm approaching. There is a battle raging that we have never seen before. We must get prepared to go into the battle fully prepared with faith.

Victory in the Process

Victory in the Process

Strive to enter the “rest” of God.

Enter into His peace and grace.

Don’t get weary with the process.

He is with you in this place.

What you may be seeking,

May not be what you need.

He knows you by your name.

He planted that special seed.

You were made perfect,

And still are in His eyes.

He understands your desires.

He is all loving and wise.

As you go through the process,

Your spirit may be broken.

There is no greater assurance,

Than the Word that was spoken.

He spoke life…..not death.

He spoke peace…..not strife.

He offers you so much more.

He offers you eternal life.

There is victory in the process,

As you let your ability go,

And give it to the Master,

Who knows where you should go.

You will go to the altar,

The altar of mercy and grace.

You will have victory in Him,

As the love flows from His face.

His love has peace and joy.

His love gives you His all.

There is victory in the process,

As He lifts you from the fall.

TRW 9-19-17

Psalms 98:1

(A Psalm.) O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

Isaiah 25:8

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.

Matthew 12:20

A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

Victory is usually produced after a battle has taken place. In reality victory is occurring during the battle as you get stronger as you fight your battle. Remember that the battles that we face on earth are not really our battles. The battle goes on in the mind as it is a spiritual battle. We are just the pawns in this battle. We can be assured that as we face the new battles every day, we learn something from it and are made stronger and have more tools to use in the next problem that we face. We have to look at how big God is compared to every battle that we face. He can cover all and He will win.  We need to let Him take charge over us and know that He has the power to give us peace on earth.

So Much More

So Much More

There is so much more,

Than to combat daily sorrow.

Why fight a battle today.

That will be back tomorrow?

When Jesus said it is finished,

He meant it for right now.

He didn’t want you to wait,

And fumble through somehow.

We have a new life now.

It was not meant for later.

We have His Spirit in us.

What could be any greater?

God can cover more,

Than what you give to Him.

He covered your life,

And removed your sin.

Do you really trust Him,

When He says some things?

Can He bear you up,

As if on eagles wings?

Every day can be a battle,

But it can be better than yesterday,

When you renew your mind,

When you go to Him and pray.

You can do so much more.

He has so much more to give.

He won the battle with Satan,

So that all of us could live.

TRW 9-18-17

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Ephesians 4:21-24

21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

If we are righteous and holy, we should be walking in peace every day. Satan tries to block that feeling and uses our past against us. He tries to bog us down with sorrow and guilt, so that he can drown out the joy that Christ can bring. God wants His people to live in the fullness of peace, joy and love. He made us in His image and has offered to live within us. We need to call upon His Spirit, when Satan tries to bring us to our knees. The Name of Jesus can block any attempt to assassinate our character. We have been made new through Him. We will find so much more in life, if we renew our spirit everyday with His Word. The Holy Bible is our arsenal. It has all the tools we need to help us with every battle that we face. It is up to us to use what God has supplied for a better life. Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we have a promise of salvation and that is reason to look forward to each new day, but God really wants us to have even more victory every day.  He wants us to be living in peace and joy.    may 2017 picts 287

Faith Greater than Fear

june 2017 beach 173

Faith Greater Than Fear

When faith is greater than fear,

Our nation will be great again.

We must trust in God’s Word,

And rely on our truest friend.

Put the fear behind you.

Don’t put it in front of your life.

If you keep it in your vision,

You will not overcome the strife.

Don’t let your past problems,

Become who you are.

Reach for what God has intended.

You are His shining star.

You can do all things,

Through Christ Who strengthens you.

He is the way and the light.

He is the shield to help you through.

He is the promise keeper.

You can trust in His love.

His grace is ever flowing,

From His throne up above.

His eye is always on you.

He will never turn His head.

He has a special place for you.

You were made for greatness instead.

This earth still can hold joy,

When faith stomps out the fear.

You are so precious in His eyes,

And He holds your desires so dear.

He only wants good for you.

There is no evil in you path.

Keep your faith above your fear,

And happiness will always last.

TRW 9-17-17

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Fear stops us from being who God wants us to be. Fear stops us from seeing goodness because we let fear cast a shadow of doubt in our lives. The shadow puts a darkness over us so that we cannot identify the Light of Christ which leads us to all that is good. We need help in our unbelief. We need help to overcome our doubts and fears. We need to recite scripture and say His Words out loud and claim them for our own life. Say these so often that in times of trouble, those words will automatically come to your mind and to your lips. The Words of Christ can take away the fear, because fear is a tool of the devil. He uses fear to steal your joy and to weaken your faith. Do not give into Satan’s attacks. You have the strongest force within you. You have the Spirit of Christ within you to help you in the battles of life. Place faith over fear.
