Forgive Others

Forgive others first,

And you will find forgiveness too.

Jesus will give you a new start,

Your life can begin anew.

Without exception He forgives.

All we must do is to ask,

And believe in His greatness,

That wipes out the stains of our past.

We know the temptation of sin,

But we cannot comprehend the pain,

And the suffering that Jesus did,

For eternity, for us to gain.

There is power in forgiveness,

Because God’s love shines through.

He has forgiven our trespasses,

So we must forgive others too.

Since we have been given forgiveness,

We must give forgiveness away.

Jesus gave His all, on the cross.

He let His love lead the way.

No one is perfect on earth,

And  mistakes are made again.

God has an abundance of grace.

Jesus is your dearest friend.

He sees you in a new light.

You are ready for heaven to stay.

Your soul has been redeemed.

You are made perfect today.

Forgive others first,

And you will find forgiveness too.

Jesus will give you a new start,

Your life can begin anew.

Matthew 6:14-15

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Every sin that we have committed was nailed to the cross with Jesus and they were forgiven. It was His sacrifice that paid the ransom for our sins. Every sin that we commit, hurts God, whether it be gossip or murder. All sins are grievous offences to God. A lie is a lie. There are no “little white lies”. We cannot pretend to be in love with God, while we hold a grudge against another human being. God is the God of Love. There is no room to mix hate into that relationship. There is freedom from hate or sin, when we forgive another person. It is in giving that we receive, so if we forgive others, we have a better understanding of this great gift of forgiveness, which God freely gave to us.

Overcome Evil with Good

If we learn to speak wisely,

We can overcome evil with good.

It will help bring out the positive,

And walk the way we should.

Speak good about yourself,

Don’t put yourself down.

Rise above your own confession.

Make a smile replace a frown.

Don’t walk in depression,

Repeating only what is bad.

Speak good stuff to yourself.

God’s Word will make you glad.

Fight for your life,

Do not give the devil control.

Build yourself up,

And let God make you whole.

Refuse to complain,

Use your mouth to heal instead,

There is power in the tongue.

Your words can make you dead.

Walk in the light of glory.

God has a good life for you.

Repeat His Good Word,

And let His Spirit shine through.

Bless everything you can,

By the way that you speak.

You can improve your life,

And bring power to the weak.

Deuteronomy 28:1-13

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

Speak a blessing over yourself and your family every day and then walk  in that blessing.

Speak Wisely

 phone april2018 170

Your mouth was meant to praise.

It was not meant to complain.

You can open the door to Satan,

If you try using the “blame game”.

Your words can lift another up,

Or it can put another down.

You can cause a happy smile,

Or inflict a hurtful frown.

You must know when to speak,

And to know when to stay still.

Think before you open your mouth,

To follow the Lord’s will.

Don’t give your opinion,

Unless it has been sought.

People will make their own choices.

Their freedom has been bought.

Your opinion might cause trouble.

It may cause another strife.

Have a spirit of listening,

To help another in this life.

If another wants your wisdom,

They will take time to ask,

But they will make their own choice,

In how they complete their task.

Each choice is personal.

And comes from the inner man.

Suggest the Word of God,

To offer comfort when you can.

God’s Word can lead them,

So use your mouth to praise.

Lift up their concerns to God,

If you want to help their days.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-13

11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

We all have so many life experiences and want to help other people by sharing what we have learned. Sometimes we give our opinion or our advice when it is not sought. We want to tell our government how to run their business. We want to express to others “how it should be”. We cannot know what another person is going through in their life and sometimes it is better just to be still. If you are concerned about their situation and want to speak, maybe it is the better thing to speak to God and ask Him for the protection and the guidance they need to get through the tough spots in their life. You can never go wrong, by giving your concern to God. He will NOT mess up the situation. In wanting to help another, we may actually be causing them more pain. I am a caregiver, by nature and by profession, so it is especially hard for me not to want to jump right in the middle to “help”.  I am having to work on this myself, so this is my Bible study : And that ye study to be quiet. Let go and let God, instead of trying to fix things myself.

You Will Make It

When you face disappointment,

Let your words give God praise,

For what is about to happen,

Release your faith for the next day.

Tomorrow can be better,

If you claim the Word of the Lord.

Life with Him is much easier,

As you walk through this world.

Don’t mix faith with fear.

It causes confusion and strife.

Be careful what you will say,

And claim only good for your life.

If you talk about your bad life.

It will just become much worse.

You are stating your future,

With the words that you rehearse.

Do not give the devil the glory,

For the disruption which he starts.

Instead claim the joy of the Lord,

Which Jesus placed in your heart.

Drama comes from repetition,

Of the negativity in life.

We should edify each other,

Instead of dwelling on strife.

Don’t brag about yourself,

But give praises to God above.

Live in the light of His glory.

Bask in the warmth of His love.

Philippians 4:19

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

James 1:2-6

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

If a person complains all the time about their life, then they will live in negativity. Sorrow will become their way of life. Life can be challenging and will have times of struggle, but if that is all a person focusses on, then they will become depressed. Depression happens in the mind and can be binding. Depression can rob you of the happiness which God has planned for His children. A person will start to think that hardship is all they deserve. We do not get what we deserve, but through the love and grace of God, we can have life more abundantly. We can walk with our head up in the clouds, because we are looking at our future and expecting good to come to us. Some people will encourage us to face life as we see it. it is not wrong to face life’s challenges, but we need to face them with a positive heart instead of with negativity. We need to reassure ourselves with the Word of God. God will supply all of our needs, so we have something to smile about.

Press Toward the Mark

I know what I want to be.

I know where I want to go.

It is not in this storm of life,

As I am tossed to and fro.

I will continue to look up,

From where my hope comes.

He is the hope of all man,

Not just the God of some.

He has every answer I want.

He has all the promises I need.

I will stay focused on Him,

As I tackle every tough deed.

He can take me from the valleys,

To the mountain tops I see.

He can help me run my course,

As He lifts me from my knees.

I fall down on my knees,

As I talk to my Father above.

He is the source of my strength.

He is the source of true love.

His love can make me stronger.

He will help me with every task.

I just need to press forward,

And do whatever He asks.

I will place love over hate.

I will seek faith over fear.

I will seek to follow my Savior,

And all that I hold dear.

Philippians 3:10-14

10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Sometimes we feel stuck in life and where we are stuck is a place of misery and pain. We feel confused and feel turmoil in our soul. We need to take a breath and realize that confusion comes from Satan and the battle that we face is in our mind. We need to turn to God in fervent prayer and belief that things can be better, but we must tell Satan to flee. We need to replace the fear with faith. Repeat scripture that can bring you comfort. Know that Jesus is your source of peace and calmness. Know that your future is with God and in heaven that all things are perfect. Let yesterday go and look ahead with excitement for a better tomorrow.

Pass It On

oct2009 chincoteague 069

When God has blessed you,

Then bless someone new.

Use His Holy Words,

To help another through.

God qualifies you to help,

After you have passed your test.

There is someone else suffering,

And in need of a peaceful rest.

God helped you through the storm,

So you can give a brother a hand.

You can be an example of God’s grace,

And help another take a stand.

Help them find their joy back,

And bring a smile to their face.

Tell them of your heavenly Father,

And of the abundance of His grace.

Be a blessing to others in need,

As God has blessed your life.

Give another your friendship and hope,

To overcome heartache and strife.

Tell others of a restored life.

Tell them about the miracle of health.

Share with others in need,

As God has increased your wealth.

Look for opportunities around,

To share what God has given to you.

Be grateful to your Father above.

Give them you hand to help them through.

Life can be a challenge,

But take the miracles in life.

Use your life lessons,

To help relieve another’s strife.

Luke 6:38

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Whatever God has given you in life, is meant for you to pass onto another person. If you have been given good health, then help another person who is struggling with poor health and give them the hope of a better life. If you have  made it through a hard time in life, then help use your testimony to help someone else out a similar situation.  Instead of being a victim, you can become a victor and help to comfort another as they are in the middle of a mess. As you help someone else, it will be returned to you in good measure. Encourage another person with the Word of God and His many promises.

A Strong Conviction

I know the Word is true,

So I am determined to make a stand.

I will Honor God’s Word,

To save this great land.

The battle is raging right now,

Moral issues are on the rise.

Our children are so confused,

By what is before their eyes.

Our children are in danger,

As we have been ignoring sin.

We remove the cross of Jesus,

And then expect them to win.

We take away their hope,

By making unreasonable demands.

Or we weaken their respect,

Letting them ignore our commands.

We set some limits today,

Just to be erased tomorrow.

We are causing them to be confused,

And bringing our children great sorrow.

We are diluting the Ten Commandments,

And saying that was the old way.

Jesus came to show us the way of love,

And love should enforce that law each day.

Love others above yourself.

That was what Jesus came and taught.

His Word is the only truth.

With His blood, our freedom was bought.

I have a strong conviction,

So I am determined to make a stand.

I will Honor God’s Holy Word,

To save this once great land.

TRW 7-01-18

29 The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Psalms 100:3

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Jeremiah 9:23-24

23 Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

The God I love, is all important to me. He is the great I AM. He is the ruler over all mankind and He loves me. No one can change how I feel about my God because He is a real person to me. Our relationship is very personal and we cannot be removed from each other. I want everyone to know that feeling of conviction. He is the rock that I stand on. With Him, I am content. Without Him, I am confused because the absence of God is the presence of Satan. Confusion comes from the adversary, which is Satan. His purpose is to confuse, to kill and destroy. That is what sin is. It is the absence of God’s rules and it will bring about grief and sorrow. God’s Word is truth and man can stand on truth because it never varies.

Be the Kind of Friend

Be the kind of friend,

That you want a friend to be.

Be willing to lighten a load,

To set another person free.

Set them free to love another.

Set them free to share,

Their time and their energy,

To show others how much you care.

Build up your friend.

Make them feel good about their self.

Encourage them to help another,

Not to just sit upon a shelf.

Love your friend by giving,

Of your time and of your heart.

Help them toward their destiny,

By encouraging them to start.

Help them to not feel fear.

Give them the God of your soul.

Tell them of His great promises,

And how He can make them whole.

The gift of your salvation,

Is an important gift to share.

Tell them of your Father,

And tell them how much He cares.

Tell them where you are headed,

And then invite them along.

Show them their purpose,

And help them to be strong.

TRW 6-28-18

Proverbs 27:10

Thine own friend, and thy father’s friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother’s house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.

Being available is the most important thing about being a friend. A friend shares happy times and will be there to lift a person up in the bad times. They will not judge their friend but will listen to them and then let them release their concerns. When troubles are shared, they are cut in half and when happy times are shared, they are doubled. A friend will spend time praying for their friend because they know that God can intercede in a time of trouble. A friend will find the time to listen and to help. Jesus sent us a friend by giving us the Holy Spirit to walk through our life, when He had to go back to the Father. He did not leave us alone. He gave us His Spirit that supplies us with love, joy, peace, health and a promise for a good future. Be the kind of friend that Jesus has been for you.
