Worth More than Money

20161023_123402

Worth More than Money

Watch what you worship.

Do you seek money or God’s grace?

All the money in the world,

Cannot take strain from your face.

Put God in the first place.

Make Him your priority every day.

Thank Him for what you have.

Look for direction as you pray.

Offer to do His will,

As you awaken each day.

He can make the difference,

On what you have to say.

Be a leader of His promises,

Helping others as you go.

Look for others who are sinking,

And being thrown to and fro.

Use what you have,

Whether it be great or small.

Offer it for God’s glory.

Stand straight and stand tall.

Be convinced of His goodness.

Tell others about His grace.

Walk through the tough times,

With a smile on your face.

Even if you are hurting,

Encourage one another.

You may be God’s grace,

Extended to your brother.

God does not need your money,

But He needs you to love,

To bring others to His presence,

In heaven up above.

God is bringing you to perfection.

You are an example of His grace.

A person can be lifted up,

By the smile on your face.

Acts 8:20

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

Money can’t buy love. Money cannot buy God’s mercy or grace. Money cannot buy eternal life in heaven. Giving someone your time in prayer or helping someone in deeds, can change a person’s life for the better, because you have taken the control out of your hands and placed it in God’s hands. He can do exceedingly abundantly more than you can even imagine. Be in prayer daily for others in need. You do not need to look very far to see someone who needs to be lifted up. Money cannot solve problems, but God can. He can open a path for you to fulfill your purpose. We cannot know exactly what our purpose is, except that we know that we are to spread the Word of God, by actions and deed. All actions and deeds do not have to be visible to another person. Many prayers have been answered because there is a prayer warrior who has approached the throne of God on your behalf. When you have felt God’s favor, thank Him for His goodness and also ask for a blessing on the person who has asked for His favor on your life.

Open My Mind to Wisdom

20161002_162131

Open My Mind to Wisdom

Lord, here I am.

Use me mightily.

Open my mind to wisdom.

I will go Lord, let it be me.

I know not where I’m headed,

But You know where I’ve been.

I need Your guidance.

I trust You as my friend.

Soften my heart Lord,

Against feelings of my past.

Give me Your love and grace,

Because it will always last.

The lessons that I’ve learned,

Can help others along the way.

Be my constant companion.

Encourage me as I pray.

I may not hear Your voice,

So enter into my mind.

Use the experiences I have had,

To stay willing and kind.

Jesus, You know the pain,

I have suffered in the past.

You are the only Way,

To have freedom that will last.

I know not the path You plan,

But I will wait and  obey.

I will give over my fears,

As You help me along the way.

Open the right doors,

That I can be of value to You.

Teach me Your ways,

Show me the way through.

Lord, let me not forget my past,

As You pulled me through it all.

You kept me standing straight,

And kept me from the fall.

Wisdom of Solomon 1:1-14

1 Love righteousness, ye that be judges of the earth: think of the Lord with a good (heart,) and in simplicity of heart seek him.

2 For he will be found of them that tempt him not; and sheweth himself unto such as do not distrust him.

3 For froward thoughts separate from God: and his power, when it is tried, reproveth the unwise.

4 For into a malicious soul wisdom shall not enter; nor dwell in the body that is subject unto sin.

5 For the holy spirit of discipline will flee deceit, and remove from thoughts that are without understanding, and will not abide when unrighteousness cometh in.

6 For wisdom is a loving spirit; and will not acquit a blasphemer of his words: for God is witness of his reins, and a true beholder of his heart, and a hearer of his tongue.

7 For the Spirit of the Lord filleth the world: and that which containeth all things hath knowledge of the voice.

8 Therefore he that speaketh unrighteous things cannot be hid: neither shall vengeance, when it punisheth, pass by him.

9 For inquisition shall be made into the counsels of the ungodly: and the sound of his words shall come unto the Lord for the manifestation of his wicked deeds.

10 For the ear of jealousy heareth all things: and the noise of murmurings is not hid.

11 Therefore beware of murmuring, which is unprofitable; and refrain your tongue from backbiting: for there is no word so secret, that shall go for nought: and the mouth that belieth slayeth the soul.

12 Seek not death in the error of your life: and pull not upon yourselves destruction with the works of your hands.

13 For God made not death: neither hath he pleasure in the destruction of the living.

14 For he created all things, that they might have their being: and the generations of the world were healthful; and there is no poison of destruction in them, nor the kingdom of death upon the earth:

Deuteronomy 8: 7-11

7 For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;

8 A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;

9 A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

10 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.

11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:

God wants us to learn from our past. Our past helps us do our future better, if we ask for God’s guidance. We can be hardened by our past or softened by our past. We can reach for God or give up on God. If we  believe in His promises and stay faithful, He will use our past to help form our future and use it to help  someone in the future.

Not on My Own

Not on My Own

I cannot do this on my own.

I need God by my side.

I need a loving Savior.

In Him I will abide.

He can fix my sorrows.

He can steady my fears.

He can cause me to smile,

And wipe away my tears.

I have a faithful companion,

Through the hard times in life.

He will lift me up into safety.

He will take away the pain and strife.

I need His faithful presence.

I don’t want to travel alone.

The path can be so rough,

On my way to my heavenly home.

I get mixed up so easily,

And may lose my way,

So I will go to my Navigator,

And to Him I will pray.

I will expect all that is good,

Because He loves me so.

He will light my path,

And show me where I need to go.

I will follow His direction.

I will study His Word.

He is the only GPS,

I need in this world.

I will reach my destination,

But will not do it on my own.

I will hold His hand each day,

On my way to my final home.

John 16:32

Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

As Jesus was walking through the most difficult time of His ministry, He knew that His friends would leave Him, but He knew He could rely on His Father to never leave Him through the difficult times. Jesus was looking forward to the day of new beginnings for the human race. He promised He would never leave or forsake us through the tough times. He left His Spirit that could be with all of us all the time. We have all the strength that we need to be able to accomplish all that God has planned for us. A good father watches over and protects his children. God is our Good, Good Father. It’s Who He is. We are truly loved by Him. That’s who we are. We are children of the most High Father and King of the Universe.

Willing to Receive

img_6879

Willing to Receive

Be willing to receive,

God’s forgiveness and love.

Let go of the past,

And look to God above.

Regret will wear you down,

Because you hold onto the past.

You refuse to receive His forgiveness,

And hold onto His love that will last.

Looking back with regret,

Stops you from looking ahead.

You cannot look to a future,

With a heart full of dread.

Pray for your enemies,

To let yourself heal.

If you just cover your wounds,

It is a temporary seal.

If you let the wound heal,

It cannot open again.

You have trusted His Word,

As a true and faithful Friend.

To float in the sea of forgiveness.

Is better than to drown in a sea of despair.

Don’t blame others for the storms,

But rest in the comfort of Jesus care.

Your pain has been from Satan.

Overcome evil with good.

Think of what Jesus would do,

And walk the way you should.

Be patient for tomorrow.

Pray for blessings today.

Then rest in His promises,

Waiting for good to come your way.

Without Struggle

Without struggle,

While at your rest,

God is working,

During your greatest test.

God is in control.

He has your season ready.

You have to stay faithful,

And your heart remain steady.

Your season will come.

It is God’s timing for you.

There is no effort on your part,

For God to come through.

There is no need to be discouraged.

Your harvest will come soon.

There will be no barriers,

To go from morning to noon.

God has His own plan.

It will be better than your own.

He knows where your road goes,

On your way to His home.

He has a place prepared for you,

And has more good on the way.

He wants you to shine on earth,

Before you go home to stay.

There are others involved in your life,

It may not be their time yet.

Just trust in God’s timing,

Realize it has all been set.

The trials that you face,

Are forming you today,

So continue to praise God’s name.

Continue to kneel and pray.

Be your best while waiting.

Be all that you can be.

You will pass your test,

On your way to eternity.

Praise while you wait.

Be good to others on the way.

Your destiny is perfection,

When you are in heaven to stay.

Psalms 37:23

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Psalms 27:14

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalms 130:5

I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

Psalms 37:9

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Wait. Wait. Wait.  We are not a very patient people. We want to do things our way and get the results that we want. We really do not know what is best for us. We know what our flesh desires: money, happiness, respect, love and alot of THINGS. We could have a houseful of stuff and still want more. In reality, we do not know what is good for us. God does know who we are and what we need. We need to just sit back and wait. While we are waiting, we need to continue to praise and believe in God’s love for us.  Let Him have control over your life and your mind.  That is the way to peace.

One Day

20161229_145941-001

One Day

One day all will bow.

One day all will believe.

Even those who followed Satan,

Will realize he is a liar and thief.

It will be too late then,

For those would not bow.

The time is right here.

The day is right now.

Why would you take a chance,

On where you will spend eternity.

To not choose is to choose darkness,

Or you can seek God’s purity.

Believing in a supreme being,

Is not going to be enough.

You have to claim Jesus as Savior,

Or else your eternity will be rough.

You have never seen such pain.

You have never witnessed such distress.

Satan is the greatest evil,

And he wants you in his mess.

He wants to destroy you peace.

He wants to kill all love.

He made his choice and fell,

From being an angel from above.

He used to have everything.

He led the heavenly angel choir.

He wanted to be like God,

But ended up in the muck and mire.

His pain will be eternal.

His suffering will be great.

The choice was his.

Will you make the same mistake?

Make your choice now.

Make your choice today.

Heaven or hell?

Where will you choose stay?

Philippians 2: 8-12

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

The Bible clearly speaks of who Jesus was, why He came and what He did for us. There are many people who think if they believe in God, that they will be okay in the end. There is so much more. We cannot deny the Son of God and the way He redeemed us from our sins and expect to make it to heaven. In the end of times, every knee will bow at the Name of Jesus. So the real choice is now or later, but later will be too late to claim your inheritance in heaven. A person can save themselves from an eternity in hell by acting today. When a person accepts Jesus, they will want to know more. They will want some peace on this earth and He is the only source of peace in many of the hardships which we will be exposed to on our way to eternity. I cannot understand why anyone would want to believe otherwise. Life is precious and most people desire to live as long as they can. There is comfort in relying on the Creator who made us. Jesus made a way for us to talk to God anytime we want. He is a reachable God. Your time is now. Tomorrow may be too late.

Where Can You be Found?

20170120_170556

Where Can You be Found

Where your riches are,

There you shall be also,

But you will reach for God,

When you are rocked to and fro.

We are obsessed with things,

That gratify our life.

Is it of any real value,

Or does it bring heartache and strife?

When God calls on you,

He knows where you can be found.

He will bring you down to earth,

And set your feet on the ground.

You may be high and mighty,

Or as plain as you can be.

He knows how to deliver you,

And also, how to set them free.

You cannot hide from God,

When He is ready to use you.

He will give you the equipment,

To help you follow through.

Where can you be found,

And are you willing to Go,

To help someone who is struggling,

As they are tossed to and fro?

They are feeling lost in life.

They do not feel loved and well.

They feel doom and gloom,

And are in a “living hell”.

There is so much more,

Than they can imagine today.

You can share your Savior,

And guide them on their way.

Hope can be found in Christ.

Where can you be found today?

Humble yourself before Him,

And go to Him and pray.

Pray for God’s help today.

Pray for that one lost soul,

Ask God to equip you,

To help the broken feel whole.

Luke 19:2-10

2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

If we worship money and things, we may not be as eager to help others or to understand where they “are at” in life. We have to show compassion and try to understand human hardship, to offer others a way out. If we are compassionate, others may see the love of God that shines through us. If we show hatefulness and drama, we cannot help lift another out of that same situation. If we love stuff more than God, we may not be willing to step out of our comfort zone to help another. We must learn to put God first and then all other things will fall into place. We also must be willing to accept the forgiveness of our Father, to be willing to forgive others. Where will God find you when he needs you to work for Him? If you are not where you should be, then you need to pray first, before you set out to help another. It is an important task that you do, so do it well. God may be using this person or circumstance to bring you “back to earth”.

The Tackle Box

20170126_111853

The Tackle Box

Do you have the time,

To go fishing for Me today.

Have you taken time to sing?

Have you taken time to pray?

Have you checked out the lake?

What do you think you can bring in?

Have you gone into the deep,

Where there is ugliness and sin?

What tackle did you bring?

Did you bring hope and peace?

Are you wanting to keep what you catch,

Or practice “catch and release”?

What’s in you tackle box?

What talents did you bring?

Are you living like the devil,

Or do you represent the King?

You carry a special brand,

So bring it to the table.

Give them the opportunity,

To be who they are able.

Every fish looks different.

They all prefer a different bait.

Some will strike quickly.

For some you will have to wait.

The bait you present to them,

Has to look good from the start.

It has to give them something,

That will satisfy their heart.

The lake is so full of captives.

We need to show them how to be free.

Be obedient to your Captain,

Before you set out to sea.

TRW 7-14-17

Matthew 4:19

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Luke 5:4-7

4Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 5And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. 7And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

Many of the people in the day of Jesus were fisherman, so when Jesus spoke to the m in parables, he would use the example of fishing. I like the lesson about letting the nets out into the deep, after they had fished all day and gave up. When they listened to Jesus, and did what He said, there were so many fish that were able to be caught, if they just fished deeper. There were enough fish to have a need for all of the fisherman to help with their nets.  To me this means that too many times we are superficial when we go out to gather in people to Jesus. We are willing to fish on the surface, but not willing to go out into areas which frighten us. We want to have all the answers, before we go out to minister to others. This is foolishness on our part, since we cannot know all there is to know or to even offer such to others. We can offer safety and peace, but we have to show love and peace. We live in a day, when there are plenty of people drowning in the deep pits of life. We need to venture into the deep for those who are lost and gather them in. then we can let God do the rest. That does not mean to abandon them, but rather to let God reach them and speak to them where they are at in life, so that they will understand and desire more of Him. We do not need to compete with other churches or denominations. There are plenty out there in need. We also need to offer different people the different sides of God which they might need. He is a Savior, a Healer, a Friend, a Life-line, a Comforter, a Peacemaker, a Counselor, and a wise Father and King. Present all of this to others.

Don’t Give Up

beach 073

Don’t Give Up

Don’t give up on God.

Don’t give up on prayer.

Even if you think God is silent,

It doesn’t mean He doesn’t care.

Keep your vision alive.

Make sure it aligns with the Word.

There is so much more to do,

In this crazy and mixed u world.

This life can be like a race.

You may stumble and fall.

Waiting at the finish line,

Is the Creator of it all.

What result do you want?

How will you get there today?

What problems will you face?

Will you take time to praise and pray?

You must be faithful in the little,

If you expect God to do the great.

There are a lot of stumbling blocks,

On the way to heaven’s gate.

You gain so much experience,

In your suffering and pain.

You may seem to be standing still,

As you wait on heaven’s gain.

Even if you want to run away,

Because you are tired of this life,

Be willing to hang in there,

Praising God through pain and strife.

It may seem boring.

You may not be going anywhere.

Believe you have a Savior,

Who will always watch and care.

Don’t give up on God.

Don’t give up on prayer.

Even if you think God is silent,

It doesn’t mean He doesn’t care.

TRW 7-13-17

Acts 20:24

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

All of us are called into the ministry of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, when we accepted Jesus as our Lord. We recognize the fact that we were once lost without direction in this life. In an instant we were a Christian, but it takes time to learn where and how to serve the God who created us and the Jesus who saved us. Our answers are not instant, so we need to keep doing the best we can while we wait for our requests to be answered or for the right doors to be opened.

Everyone has a different need in their life and everyone is given special talents that can be used to bring others into the canopy of God’s grace. Many people may have a good life on the surface, but without Jesus in their life, all their success is truly superficial and will not mean anything at the end of this life. The Christian believes in eternity with Jesus in a place of total peace and love.

That is a goal worth working for and worth waiting on.  Don’t give up on God as you await the direction for your life.
