Blocked Blessings

Blocked Blessings

I blocked the blessings,

That were coming my way.

It was my bad attitude,

That ruined my day.

Anger got in my way,

Of the blessings I was to recieve.

I thought I was smart,

But I failed to believe.

I listened to the enemy,

That I had no friends around.

I believed what he said,

But he didn’t make a sound.

I became upset and bitter.

I became angry and sad/

What God had planned for good,

I turned it around and made it bad.

I had a weakened spirit.

I opened up my soul,

To the lies of the devil.

He split up what was whole.

He broke up my peace.

He hid my blessings from above.

He disguised God’s grace,

And blocked me from His love.

I will take away any blocks,

As I trust upon His word.

I welcome all the blessings,

From my Father to this world.

2 Timothy 4:2-4

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Many times, our bad attitude blocks the blessings that God has for us. We are more willing to listen to Satan that we are to listen to the voice of God. We believe we are weak and unwanted. We believe that no-one cares. We believe that we are less than others. These lies that Satan plants in our heads, causes us to walk in condemnation instead of forgiveness. They darken our spirit instead of enlightening our soul. Our attitude can make a difference in how we see life. A good attitude will allow us to see the blessings. A bad attitude can block us from seeing all that God does for us each day. Open your heart to God’s love and His blessings. He loves you.

With a Need

With a Need

I went to the pool.

I went with a need.

I went to the Healer,

Praying for a great deed.

I could not walk.

In honor or in glory.

Others knew my sins.

They talk about my story.

I went into the water,

And I could not see.

I needed a vision.

I needed to be set free.

I went into the pool,

With my heart broken in two.

I expected a miracle,

And all that He could do.

When I came out of the water,

I felt the chains fall free.

I felt His grace and mercy,

And His infinite love for me.

I went to the Living Water,

And my Lord met me there.

He freed me from my pain,

And told me that He cared.

I walk forward with refreshing,

From the true Water of Life.

I was relieved of my worries,

And freed from my strife.

I am refreshed by forgiveness,

As my past went from my soul.

He removed all my sins.

I am now healed and whole.

John 5: 6-8

6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

God knows all of your needs, but he wants you to acknowledge that you need Him. The water did not heal the man, but Jesus did. He felt he needed help to get his healing, but he just had to ask the Healer. He had been sick for a long time, but still believed he could be healed. His faith made him whole. If he did not listen to what Jesus said, he would not have attempted to walk. Jesus not only told him to get up and walk but told him to take his cot with him. I think his cot would always serve as a reminder of where he was before he received his miracle.

God First

God First

Seek God and His purpose.

He has something special for you.

You were made in His image.

There’s  nothing you can’t do.

Is money the most important thing,

And what it can buy you today?

Those things can decay and rust,

And those debts you must re-pay.

If you look for true happiness,

And seek peace and rest,

You can find it in Jesus.

This is the true test.

Can you put God first,

And follow His plan for you?

Can you trust in His provision,

Knowing it can bring you through?

Is the newest gadget important,

In the scheme of human creation?

Can the gadget bring people to Christ,

Or just cause further frustration?

Are the things that you buy,

Going to show others God’s love?

Will it carry you faster,

To your future up above?

How can you keep Him on the top,

When the challenges seem so great?

Forget about being busy each day,

It will not determine your fate.

Take time in the morning,

To ask God’s for His grace.

Pray for those in need,

Seeing each brother’s face.

Duties will consume you,

But you need to spend the time,

To hear His direction each day,

To please One who is so sublime.

Matthew 6:5-13

5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Colossians 1:17-18

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Since we all live in different places and have a goal to reach, life becomes busy.

We are to place God first in all things, but very few people know how to do that. Mother Teresa of Calcutta knew how to do that. She lived a humble life with her only concern was how to help others and bring them to Christ. She spent time in prayer and then spent time in doing good for others. She would listen for His voice and what He wanted her to do. You may not have been called to serve the poorest of the poor, but you may be meant to show another person an example of Christian love at work or on the way to work. God can provide the opportunities to do as Jesus did on earth. You are the branches, He is the vine. Talk to Him every time you get a chance, so that you will be aware of the circumstances that open the way to actions of love.

Seek Humility

beach 046

 Seek Humility

Humble yourself before God.

Think about yourself less.

It’s not all about you.

To your Lord you must confess.

You must be willing to bow.

You must be willing to give.

Do as Jesus did on earth.

That’s how you’re supposed to live.

It is a natural problem to have,

To think more highly than you ought.

You are not better than anyone else.

Humility cannot be bought.

Be not wise in your own eyes,

As pride will develop in your life.

You will feel caught up in drama,

And a world filled with strife.

Keep relationships simple,

As if playing with a child.

It will keep you humble,

Keeping you meek and mild.

Jesus walked among sinners.

He sat with the poor.

He came to this earth for you.

There was so much He endured.

He was the King of the nation,

But He did not ask for fame.

He humbled Himself and obeyed,

Now all will bow to His Name.

Romans 12::1-18

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do itwith simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

The above scripture is the recipe for humility. With these directions you will fill many with peace, hope and love. They will see Jesus in you.

Alone Time

During my alone time,

With just my God and me,

I think about home,

And the price to keep them free.

I think of the soldiers,

That would never again return.

I think about the brokenness,

And how their families must yearn.

Just one more talk with them,

Just one more hug and kiss.

They think about the future,

And what they all would miss.

I burn the letters from home,

But the words are in my heart.

In case I would be held captive,

Their lives wouldn’t be tore apart.

The enemy is pure evil.

They live different lives than we.

They do not know about,

The home of the brave and the free.

We have a reason to fight,

To take care of the people we love.

We will pray for God’s protection,

As we are covered by your love.

We think about home often.

We hold you in our heart.

With God in the middle,

We are never so far apart.

Love can close the gap,

Between our home and here,

These letters that I burn,

I will forever hold dear.

No One Left Out

When God is called upon,

There is no one left out.

You can feel His presence,

As you praise and as you shout.

He will deliver you,

From all your past wrongs.

He will set you on the right path,

Toward Him where you belong.

He is your healer,

And can heal your illness today.

He knows your every need,

And He listens as you pray.

He will bring you peace.

It can free your troubled soul.

He can take your brokenness,

And restore and make you whole.

He will listen to your sorrows.

He will hold you in your pain.

He will replace it with joy.

He will wipe away your shame.

No one needs to be left out.

He has room for everyone.

Jesus came to seek all.

He is God’s perfect Son.

His Word is that of love.

He brings mercy and grace,

For all who make the choice,

To seek His Holy Face.

Matthew 5:1-9

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Jesus spoke to the multitudes. He did not want to leave anyone out. He wanted unity in His body. Peacemakers are those who seek unity and they shall be called the children of God.

Integrity

20170110_153939

Integrity

Living with integrity,

Is to consider what is right,

From the first light of day,

To your last thought at night.

To live with integrity,

Makes you not have to look back.

Working well with others,

Never leaves you feel any lack.

Stability in God’s word,

Will cause integrity in your soul.

People will want to walk with you,

Because you represent what is whole.

You are not broken as you walk,

As Honesty walks with you.

Question any wrong motives,

Before you follow through.

No lies will leave your lips,

As it tarnishes who you are.

People cannot trust your motives,

As you reach for your personal star.

Once you make a promise,

Then you must follow through.

To be a person of integrity

Will define the real you.

You have nothing to hide.

You are stable in a world of change.

God is always the same.

There is nothing to re-arrange.

Proverbs 11:3

The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

Phillipians 1:10

That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

Even your enemy will respect you if you have integrity. Synonyms for integrity are:
honesty, good character, principle(s),ethics, morals, righteousness, morality, virtue, decency, fairness, sincerity, truthfulness, trustworthiness or
unity, unification, coherence, cohesion, togetherness, solidarity

It is a huge compliment to be considered a person of integrity. God is truth. If we have the Spirit of God living in us then we should be people of integrity. We should be people of unity or oneness with God, therefore we should be like God, and walk like Jesus did on earth. He walked in truth and in love and in absolute integrity. His Spirit can guide us to do what is right.

You Are Great

20170120_170556

You are Great

You are great,

Because of He who is in you.

You are not in bondage,

Because Jesus set you free.

God will not allow anything,

Above your ability to bear.

So rest in that assurance,

That your Father really cares.

You can defeat this mess,

And face each one you will face.

God has you covered always,

With His amazing grace.

Do not walk in dismay.

Today is not the rest of your life.

You have a perfect Helper,

To calm the storms and strife.

He has a lifeboat waiting,

As you face today’s storm.

Just look for His presence,

As you face each new morn.

Don’t; quit too early.

Don’t give up or give in.

Get rid of the temptation.

Don’t give Satan room to win.

He is reminding you of failure,

Because he has no good tomorrow.

He wants to cover you with grief.

He is the cause of your sorrow.

Today belongs to God,

As well as your tomorrow.

Face it with excitement.

There is no more room for sorrow.

Joy overcomes grief.

Love overcomes hate.

Be satisfied with today.

It is never too late.

It is never too late,

To proclaim the Word,

In this day of discomfort,

In this temporary world.

TRW 10-27-17

Romans 5:19

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

When you walk in times of trouble, you can be assured that there is more grace available. That is the reason you can walk through times of trouble. God knew there would be trouble from Satan. Satan tries to confuse you in life and He tries to discourage you from having any hope. God will cover that doubt with grace. His grace will lift you up and set your feet back on the right path; the path of hope and joy. Just think: God’s grace, grace and more grace. He will cover your doubts and trials with hope and joy in the morning.

Yesterday, Today and Forever

june 2017 beach 058

Yesterday, Today and Forever

Let us not concentrate on others,

And what they have in life.

Wanting what they have now,

Will only lead to strife.

God has a path before you,

That is marked as your own.

The way has been cleared,

On your walk to your eternal home.

You may want more today,

But God’s got your tomorrow,

He is watching for Satan’s lies,

That lead you to turmoil and sorrow.

The meat that you now desire,

You may not be ready for yet.

God holds you in His palm.

His way has no regrets.

Your purpose has been ordained,

By the One Who created you.

Just wait upon the Lord,

And He will help you through.

Your destiny is at hand,

Today is just the start.

He is clearing your mind.

He is opening your heart.

The Holy Spirit is your Helper,

So you can boldly say.

That you trust Him with tomorrow.

You will trust forever, starting today.

Hebrews 13:5  5-8

5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

We spend too much time worrying about life. When we have trust in God, we will be satisfied with what He has supplied us with. It may not seem to you that you have as much as your neighbor, who just got a new car, when yours is on its last leg. You think that your neighbor has so much more than you do and he does not even go to church. You wonder about God’s justice and His supply and your need. Just cling to the words that God will supply all of your needs. He never changes. His love is true and pure. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He will never leave or forsake you. Thank Him for what He has brought you through and for the future that you can walk with Him by your side. With God in your life, you have things to look forward to. You are headed home with Him for eternity. That is enough to give anyone a smile on their face. We look forward to a week of vacation time at the beach or in the mountains. We seek that calmness away from all the drama and turmoil in life. How much more should we be smiling with relief, knowing that eternity with God is just around the corner (in the blink of an eye).
