Standing Amazed

Every Little Sin

20170105_144237-001

Every Little Sin

Do you believe what Jesus did?

He died for every big and little sin.

He did all the sacrifice for us,

To let each of us in.

We are now able to enter,

The Holy temple of God above.

All sin hurts God our Father.

But He has a forgiving kind of love.

When we accepted Jesus as Lord,

We have the light of God in our soul.

He took away the darkness.

He made us pure and whole.

Now as a child of God,

Jesus took away all sin.

He was the way to the temple.

He opened it so that all may come in.

God is in that Holy Temple,

And His Temple is in us too.

He will never leave us,

So sin is blanched through.

We are as white as driven snow,

Sins from the past and the days to come.

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice,

For all and not just for some.

Righteousness can only enter,

If we ask Jesus in to our soul.

His forgiveness is available for all.

He has made us new and whole.

We are sanctified for God,

Through the offering of Jesus for all.

He covered big and little sin,

And kept us from the fall.

He spared us from damnation,

He dealt with sin on the cross.

He did it once and for all,

So that none need to be lost.

Hebrews 10:10-24

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;21 And having an high priest over the house of God;22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

When we asked Jesus into our souls, we were forever changed. We became the Holy Temple of God. We became righteous. God sanctified us and set us apart to be His Holy People. We have an Advocate every second of our lives, that helps us to live better and to go to the Father when we have messed up. All sin is hurtful to God, so Jesus paid the price for all sin ( the past, the present, and the future). As His Holy people, we have been equipped with the Holy Spirit who will help us walk in holiness and help us make better choices to honor the God we have chosen to serve.

Keep Trusting

Keep Trusting

When you are walking in a storm,

Keep trusting God above.

Acknowledge His faithfulness,

And His abundant perfect love.

As we trust we still grow,

Even when life does not seem fair.

Trust that God is watching,

Knowing that God really cares.

He cares for you today.

He is ready for your tomorrow.

He is sending you more grace,

To help you through your sorrow.

God is not sleeping now,

Although you don’t feel Him near.

He will be there in time,

To make the right path clear.

He will shake up the things,

That need to be shaken below.

He will change things around,

As we are tossed to and fro.

He will keep what is good,

Which is the peace from heaven above.

Trust in your Creator,

Your one and only true love.

Let Him take your life and use it,

You must trust in His ways.

Allow His consuming fire,

To take over all your days.

TRW 10-25-17

Hebrews 12:26

26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Let trust consume your life. Rest in the storms of life. Know that God is watching and waiting for the perfect time to do what is best for you. He will get rid of what is not good for you and hold onto what was intended for your life. God loves you and wants what is best for you. We need to trust His judgement, not ours. We have many “wants” that would not be good for us. We may want a million dollars, but may not be responsible enough to use it wisely. It may actually cause us much grief and cause harm to our life. We need to trust God to supply our needs and thank Him for the extra things that He has given us. We may not have “needed” a new outfit, but we were blessed to be able to buy one. Know that all good things come from God and He is to be given the glory for His loving kindness.

Come on In

Come On In

His law of love can be,

Written on your heart.

It will lead and guide you.

You will have a clean start.

Your sins have been forgiven,

And they have been forgotten too.

Your loving Father, through Jesus,

Has made you brand new.

The Ten Commandments,

Were written on tablets of stone.

The new testament of love,

Will never leave you alone.

His Word has been written,

Deep within your soul.

It is a secret place of sharing,

That makes you feel whole.

That secret place is where you meet,

With your Father up above.

It is a place of covering,

And a place of peace and love.

Jesus split the curtain of the tabernacle,

So you could walk right in.

Your sins have been paid for,

So you can begin again.

You can talk with your God,

Without the barrier of sin.

God says “welcome my child,

Feel free to come on in”

“Come into my presence.

Ask what you want to know.

You are now one with me,

And I will help you grow.”

Jesus tore the curtain,

So we can enter in.

He was the perfect sacrifice,

That took away our sin.

Hebrew 10:16-25

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

God welcomes us to have a talk with Him. Since the sacrifice of Jesus and our acceptance of Jesus as our Savior, we can talk directly to God. He is our place of safety and acceptance. When we talk to Him, He will help us find the solutions to our problems and concerns. He will give us a clam assurance that everything will be alright. His door is always opened, but we need to go to Him. Just chatting with God is a form of prayer. He is our Father and is available for counsel anytime we need it. He is our source of a hug, whenever we need it. He can make us feel important when the world had drawn us down.

We can find comfort in His presence. He says “Come on in”.

Experience Builds Faith

Experience Builds Faith

Life experiences build faith,

Both the good and the bad.

You can’t discover joy in the morning,

If you haven’t experienced the sad.

You can’t overcome doubts,

Unless you’ve been in that place.

You know how it sneaks in there,

And you asked for God’s grace.

The next breath is better,

Than the one you took before,

Your doubt verses your faith.

You’ve not been able to keep score.

Then you get a reminder of where,

You are now and where you’ve been.

You call out His Holy Name,

And you find your faithful Friend.

Life and faith takes practice,

But you don’t need to do it alone.

You have a loving Father,

Watching you from His throne.

You don’t understand the “why”,

But you walk through it anyway.

Feed you faith with His promises,

Then be still after you pray.

Life experiences build faith,

Both the good and the bad days.

You can discover joy in the morning,

If in His Word you’ll stay.

TRW 10-23-17

Romans 1:17

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The words from “faith to faith”  indicates the gap in between. Life is a battle with challenges everyday which can cause doubt.  A person has to stay practiced up to know how to fight off these doubts with prayer and then with silence in the waiting. My mom had to raise six kids by herself because my dad died leaving her with five children under the third grade and one on the way. She prayed a lot and found that she did not get instant answers. She told us kids to pray and if God said “No” then we would just have to wait until the situation was right for us to receive whatever it was we were asking for. We would have to wait on  “God’s  timing”. All she could tell us for sure was that God was watching and listening to our every need. As we built our lives upon “yesses and no’s”, we learned to have faith in the waiting. Sometimes a child has so many wants, that frequently we had to face the “No’s” or the “Not yets”. There was faith built in the waiting, because we learned to rely on God for each day of trials that we faced. It was a lifetime of experience with God that made us into strong adults, who learned to endure with patience, knowing to trust God for the outcome of every situation.  We knew that He never stopped watching over us and that He never would. It was a childlike faith that brought us through and still does today.  We don’t need proof, we have faith.  Proof is in the waiting.

Water of Growth

Water of Growth

Water gives us birth.

Water helps us to grow,

We have been washed of sin,

To speak to the God we know.

The seeds that are planted in us,

Need the Water of the Word to live.

Whenever hatred is planted in us,

We must be willing to forgive.

Jesus left us His Spirit,

So that each of us can grow.

He will part the waters,

So we know which way to go.

Water will quench our thirst.

It will give us good health.

To be able to help another,

Is a greater gift than wealth.

His Word is the cleansing Water,

That makes us new again.

We can walk in holiness,

With Jesus our dearest friend.

His Word can cover us,

And go deep inside our soul.

It can refresh our spirit,

And make us alive and whole.

Whole and not broken,

Is how God wants us to be.

Be washed in the Spirit,

To be made completely free.

1 John 5:4-8

4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Jesus was born a human being through a water and blood birth. We are re-born through His blood sacrifice. The Bible speaks of us being washed clean of our sins. Jesus was baptized in the water of the Jordan River. Water is necessary for growth of seeds. Water is very common on earth and covers more than 70% of the world. When Jesus had died on the cross, the soldier pierced His side and water and blood flowed. This was a message of connecting what is common and what is precious. We are common, but His uncommon perfect blood was shed to redeem us from our sins. His sacrifice washed all that is bad from our souls, to make us righteous in the sight of His Father.

Down But Not Out

20170110_132257

Down But Not Out

I feel down and discouraged,

But I’m not out of it yet.

I will not let out my anger,

And say something I might regret.

God will pick me up,

Out of the miry clay.

He will re-direct my path,

He will open the way.

I will praise Him

When others put me down.

I will wear a smile,

And will hide the frown.

I will remember that I am chosen.

My sins have been washed clean.

I want to represent love,

And not go around mad or mean.

I will not separate myself,

From my Savior up above.

I will not stay down for long,

As He amazes me with His love.

I will get up from the despair.

I will not play the “blame game”.

I will call on my Lord and God.

I will repeat His Holy Name.

His Name will bring me comfort.

He will take the load from my heart.

Satan would bury me each day,

But Jesus will give me a new start.

It is He who lives in me,

That gives me the courage I need.

I am down but not out,

So I will go where He will lead.

TRW 10-22-17

Romans 8:35-39

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Satan does his best work when you are down. He does not just take the present circumstance to make you sad or mad, but he adds all of the past hurts that he can to compound that feeling. He lives in depression and loneliness and wants to drag you down to the pit with him. When you have been attacked by meanness, or sad circumstances, realize that this is an entry gate that Satan uses. He will make the bad worse. If he uses those tactics with you, just tell him to “get out Satan”, “I am a conqueror and my God has this covered”. Satan tried to attack Jesus when He was about to face the cross and a horrible death. Jesu said: “get behind me Satan”!  Satan never gives up on trying to discourage you and get you to doubt the promises of God, so keep these words close to your lips and use them when you realize the attack is on.

Obedience Under Grace

20170110_142335

Obedience Under Grace

Jesus has done it all,

For us to receive grace.

He broke down the wall,

Between us and God’s face.

Man failed under the law,

And had to make a sacrifice every year.

The borders had been set,

The sacrifices made clear.

We no longer get the penalty,

That we all deserve through sin.

We only have to accept His sacrifice,

We have to let our Jesus in.

We are now covered by His grace,

Given freely from God up above.

We are forever connected,

By His perfect heart and love.

We must acknowledge who Jesus is,

And ask Him into our heart and soul.

He will wipe away our transgressions,

And made new and whole.

He did it because He loves us,

We did nothing to deserve it.

God offered His Son to us,

And left us His Holy Spirit.

His Spirt is ever with us,

To help us in this life.

He will open your eyes,

And lessen the worldly strife.

He will give you knowledge,

That your soul craves.

There is only life eternal.

There will be no more graves.

He has offered us a life,

Eternally with Him.

Grace covered it all.

He took away all sin.

He made us perfect again,

As He wiped our sins away,

To prepare us for heaven,

To where we will one day stay.

TRW 10-20-17

2 Corinthians 3:5

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

His grace is sufficient for all. His grace is sufficient for me. It is through His grace that we have the promise of eternity with Him. It is not about what we have done, but what Jesus did to offer us salvation. He wiped the slate clean and offered us righteousness through Him. It is free for the asking, but a person must mean what they say when they ask for forgiveness and ask Him into their lives. It is a lifelog commitment.  He will help us with all the problems that will be thrown at us in this life. He will fight our battles. We just need to call out His Name and Satan will flee.

The Spirit Lives On

beach 080

The Spirit Lives On

The mind is the battlefield,

Between the body and the spirit.

We have to open our souls,

To be able to hear it.

Our spirit can hear His voice.

It can recognize His call.

The mind and body make choices,

And are responsible for the fall.

Our God is all-knowing,

And knows what is best for you.

He will open the doors,

You are meant to walk through.

Our spirit is connected,

To our Father up above.

It comes back to life,

From God’s perfect love.

When Jesus enters your spirit,

It makes all the difference in the world

We are made righteous now,

By Jesus and His Word.

Our spirit is connected to His,

And cannot be torn apart.

He loves your brand new soul,

Just like He did from the start.

Life is all about our spirit,

As it will live on and on.

It goes beyond this world,

When our body is dead and gone.

We are one with our Creator.

Our spirits are connected each day.

He will never leave or forsake us,

As we praise and as we pray.

Worship can bring that connection,

It is a feeling like no other.

You can feel His presence,

And love from the Father.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The difference between man and animals is that God breathed a soul into man. Man has a battle to fight and it is in the mind. The mind has to sort out what the body desires and what the soul seeks. The body seeks “stuff”. The soul seeks peace that can only be felt with the connection to God. In the end of times, the only thing that matters is the condition of the soul, because the soul or the spirit is what will live on. We will have a new body in eternity that will no longer be tempted by sin. Our soul has been made righteous and perfect through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross. It is through Him that we will be able to spend eternity in heaven. Jesus fought the battle and won as He came back to life on the third day. He left His Spirit to live in us to help us on our path to eternity.

Seeing More Clearly

See More Clearly

You will see more clearly,

If you clear your own conscience first.

They may be much better,

You may be much worse.

You will be measured by God,

As you first judged your brother.

Look into your own heart,

Before you measure another.

Clear your own slate first,

Before you write off a friend.

God had love in the beginning,

And will have love in the end.

Do everything with love,

And seldom will you be wrong.

You will be in peace each day,

And find out where you belong.

When you are one with God.

He will be one with you.

He will direct your path,

And help you follow through.

Be ready to forgive often,

As your Father has forgiven you.

Since He has made you righteous,

You can forgive others too.

Building a wall around your heart,

Will also block you in.

It will create a hardness,

That will only lead to sin.

Un-forgiveness leads to discord.

Discord can lead to hate,

So forgive one another,

Before it is too late.

Keep the offense that bothers you.

From settling in your soul.

You were meant to be free,

And Jesus made you whole.

Don’t weaken the vessel,

That was meant to carry His love.

Pray for your enemies in life,

Then give it to God above.

TRW 10-20-17

Matthew 7:2-5

2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

The old saying “to be on the outside looking in” or “walk a mile in my shoes”, are good sayings to remember. They will help lead you to peace in your life. So many times we try to fix what is wrong with another person and we have not fixed what is wrong with us first. We are quick to judge and slow to forgive. We cannot understand what a person has become unless we truly understand their life and  we cannot understand another’s life unless we have walked their shoes. The problem may seem simple to us and the conclusion or “fix” easy to accomplish, but it may not be as easy as we think. Focus on your own problem and pray to God for changes in your life so that you can be effective in helping a brother.  Then once you are fixed you will just love them and let God do the rest.
