Standing Amazed

Let the Labor Begin

Let the Labor Begin

Let the labor begin Lord,

As I am filled with your word.

Let me be Your instrument Lord,

In this bitter confusing world.

Take the “me” out of me,

And replace it with Your will.

Let Your Word pour out of me,

Through my given skill.

The seeds that you have planted,

Are ready to go forth.

I don’t know what I can offer.

I don’t know what it is worth.

I think this vessel is ready.

I will rely on you to do the rest.

You can flow through me,

As I pass my daily test.

The test is the trial,

That I may face today.

The victory will come,

If I go to You and pray.

These trials make me stronger,

Each and every day.

I will look forward to the future,

When I’ll go with You to stay.

Heaven is my real home,

To be with You forevermore.

With You I can do all things,

And for what Satan has in store.

I will not deny my trials.

I will feel that I am blessed.

As we walk in this together,

I will pass my final test.

James 1:2-6

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

We moan and groan about the everyday trials that we face. We complain and we gripe. James, the brother of Jesus tells us that we should face each trial with joy as we can become stronger with every trial. We are headed toward where God wants us to be. The strength that He is giving us will be used to help another. He will guide us to the purpose that He has for us in this life, if we just keep praising Him for all that He has brought us through. Look forward to the future, as a woman going through labor in anticipation of the joy of the birth of her child. Every trial and every pain brings us closer to our purpose in life. Do not stay in the pain of labor but look forward to the delivery.

A Special Birthday Party

A Special Birthday Party

It’s a special birthday party,

One that is fit for a King.

You can feel the special joy,

As choirs and angels sing.

It may be warm and pleasant.

There may be snow on the ground.

People will greet one another,

With a special Christmas sound.

It’s not all about the presents,

Or what is under the tree,

But the greatest gift of all,

Is that my Savior came to me.

He brought a promise from God,

Of a future in heaven with Him.

His death and resurrection,

Would cover all my sins.

I can be as white as the snow.

I can soar like eagles above.

I am protected by His grace,

And covered by His love.

I have a special birthday present,

To give to Jesus, whom I love.

I will give Him my heart and soul,

And feel His blessings from above.

He is preparing a birthday party,

As special as it can be.

He is inviting us to join Him,

In heaven for an eternity.

Luke 1:14

And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

To be able to know our Savior on a personal level, just blows my mind. We can have this kind of relationship with Jesus if we want. He enjoys our conversations with Him. We are each His personal treasures. It is incomprehensible why He would want to befriend us. We are all so unworthy to be called a friend of God, but that is what He desires. We are so blessed to have such a King.

The Gift of Eternity

The Gift of Eternity

Felling like less than others,

But God can use you too.

He will use your humility,

For others to be brought through.

You will give God the glory,

For it is only through Him,

That the chains can be broken,

And you can be washed of your sins.

He will make you pure as snow,

By His abundant and holy grace.

You can reflect His love in you,

By the joy seen in your face.

The lowliness of the manger,

Brought the greatest King of all.

He took our sin upon himself,

To keep us from the fall.

After the crucifixion,

Of Jesus Christ our Lord,

He is the truth and the life.

He became the only door.

He brought the gift of eternity.

He paid the price for all man.

It was the greatest gift of all,

That could be brought to this land.

He wants to use you now.

He wants to raise you up.

He is taking back what was stolen,

And will repair what was corrupt.

God can use anyone,

If you are willing to give your heart.

Believe in His birth, death, and resurrection,

He alone gave man a new start.

A start for a great future,

To meet Jesus face to face,

To thank Him for His love,

And His abundant amazing grace.

Romans 5:14-15

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over

them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s

transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through

the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of

God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ,

hath abounded unto many.

Jesus was the gift of Christmas. He was the promise for a chance to live in

eternity with God (the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit). If you have not

accepted this free gift, it is not too late. Just believe in who He was and who He

  1. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and make an active decision to try not

to sin again. He is the great I AM. He is worthy of our love. He is our source of

peace and true joy. He accepts each of us as we are and then helps us to become

who He planned on us to be.

Do You Believe?

Do You Believe?

Do you believe in miracles?

Do you believe in God above?

Do you believe in Christmas,

And that Jesus came to us in love?

Do you believe in healing?

Do you believe in peace?

Do you want to find the joy,

That gives your heart release?

Do you believe in salvation,

Of one as lowly as you?

Do you know the Good Shepherd,

And all that He can do?

Do you believe in God’s goodness?

Do you believe in His amazing grace?

Do you believe that you can feel Him,

And speak to Him face to face?

Jesus humbled Himself for us.

He experienced all of our pain.

He walked His life willingly,

For what we have to gain.

Do you believe about the Virgin Mary?

Do you believe in Jesus birth?

He would do it all for you,

If you were the only one on earth.

All things are possible,

If only you believe.

Don’t let doubt creep in.

It’s a trick of the thief.

Satan wants to take your joy,

And turn your faith around.

He wants to destroy your belief.

And take it to the ground.

You can believe it all,

Because His Word is true.

Believe in His goodness,

And His great love for you.

Mark 9:23

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Romans 12:3

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Matthew 18:3

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

God actually gave every man a measure of faith, so it is up to us as individuals whether we let that faith grow, or if we block it with the lies of Satan. Satan plans to block our faith, by putting questions into our mind. A child believes what you say. He does not question you if you tell him the color is blue or red or yellow. He trusts that you will tell him the truth and he learns to expect the truth from you. We can expect the truth from our Heavenly Father as well. So we all have a measure of faith, but we must believe, to make that faith grow and mature.

God came to us,

As a man on this earth.

He came as a little child,

In an actual human birth.

He experienced our weakness.

He was man in every way,

But He maintained His Kingship,

And left His Spirit which could stay.

He walked the walk before us.

He knows what we’re going through.

He felt the temptation of sin.

He felt pain and loneliness too.

He did this by choice,

To save our sinful souls.

He can open up hearts,

And make them well and whole.

There is nothing you can say,

That surprises Our God above.

His ears are always opened,

And His heart is filled with love.

Immanuel came to us,

On that first Christmas day.

He will never leave you,

But is in your heart to stay.

God has surely blessed us.

Christmas is a true mystery.

Our King and our Savior,

Came here to set us free.

John 1:14

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The word Immanuel means “God with us”. What a beautiful word that is; that our Creator loves us so much that He would send His Son, Jesus, to become a man and to save us from our sins. It is a true mystery and beyond the comprehension of man. The concept does not need to be understood, but does need to be believed. We must believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that His death on the cross served as the only sacrifice that could takes away our sins and allow us to someday enter into heaven to meet God, face to face. Those who believe in Him shall be saved. Jesus, the baby who came on Christmas is our Lord and Savior. He is Immanuel. He is God with us, and He did not leave us but left His Holy Spirit with each of us.

Who is He?

phone june-july 2017 065

Who Is He

Who is He,

The One we celebrate,

Who brought us love,

To take away hate?

He was with the angels,

But came to live on earth.

He gave up His majesty,

To take on a human birth.

He is the Son of God.

He is perfect in every way.

He came down from heaven,

But He was not meant to stay.

He became a human being,

To enter a world of sin.

He was born in a manger.

There was no room in the inn.

So why do we celebrate His birth?

Because He is the only way,

That we can attain heaven,

Where one day we can stay.

He came to rescue us from Satan,

Who is a liar and a thief.

He came to give us hope,

And to give our souls relief.

He fought a huge battle.

It was the battle over the grave.

He gave His life willingly.

He is the only Way to be saved.

TRW 12-10-17

John 6:38-40

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Jesus became flesh and blood so that He could understand our frailty. At Christmas we celebrate that God loved us so much that Jesus, the Son of God, became man. He came to fight the battle which was started with Adam and Eve in a perfect garden of paradise. They had everything they needed, but Satan entered in and introduced sin to God’s perfect creation. They were doomed to death and eternity in hell and needed a Savior. There was no one else who could fight this battle, except God Himself. Jesus came to teach us love and forgiveness and to give us hope. Jesus is our only hope. We must accept the sacrifice that He made for us on the cross of Calvary. If we believe and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we can be assured that our earthly death will be only temporary and that we will celebrate eternity with our Father God, His Son Jesus, and His Holy Spirit in heaven.

Reaching Out

Reaching Out

Reaching out to others,

Is really reaching in.

It is showing them Christ,

Who is pure and without sin.

When you reach out to others,

It is demonstrating God’s love,

And how His grace can flow,

Through others from above.

We all have been touched by angels,

Sent from God’s mighty throne.

He sees when you have a need,

And knows when you feel alone.

You can help another out,

Of a low place in their life,

By sharing God’s peace,

And lessening another’s strife.

It may seem like so little,

But can mean so much,

Showing them somebody cares,

As you offer a gentle touch.

They have been touched by an angel,

Sent from the Glory Land.

Bringing them out of the darkness,

Helping them learn to stand.

Standing in the hope of a future,

Giving them the help that it takes,

To soother their heart and mind,

And take away their present heartache.

Matthew 5:16

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Philippians 2:3-4

[Let] nothing [be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Luke 6:31

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

2 Corinthians 9:8-11

And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work:

Being a blessing or helping others comes naturally to a Christian. God’s love should flow through us, if His Spirit is in us. God is abundant in mercy and in grace and it overflows from His throne in heaven. Jesus left His Spirit with us because that was the only way to spread the gospel throughout the world. Every act of kindness to another is important to God as we are an extension of Him. We are all part of His body doing His holy work.

Be a Blessing

Be a Blessing

Are you going to be a blessing,

To someone else today?

Are you thanking God for His blessings,

Every night as you pray.

Do you look at your day,

And realize where God has been?

He has been right with you.

He is always your closest friend.

He knows your inner thoughts.

He knows your every need.

He will give you the answers,

As you go to Him and plead.

You have to be willing,

To listen to His voice.

He blesses because He is God.

You blessing others, is a choice.

God does not give you what you deserve,

Because you can never do enough.

He is covering every step for you,

Even when the going gets tough.

Be a blessing to others also,

Just as God has been to you.

Represent your heavenly Father,

In every single thing that you do.

God blesses others freely,

Every second of the day.

Represent your Father,

And bless someone else today.

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Luke 18:18-21

18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

All blessings are not financial blessings. If you give someone your time, it is a most precious gift, as time cannot be bought back. We all only have so much time. Blessings can be in the form of encouragement or friendship. It can be in gifts as well. Food can be a blessing, if a person is hungry. Transportation can be a blessing if a person has no car. Fire wood can be a blessing if a person is cold. Shoveling snow off a walkway can be a blessing if a person cannot do this for themselves. A phone call can be a blessing to someone who is lonely. A warm batch of cookies can be a blessing to show someone that you care. Helping an older person do repairs on their house is a way to bless others. Helping in the nursery at church can be a blessing for the parents trying to spend quality time in the Word. There are so many ways to be a blessing on this earth. We can bless those who we do not know by praying that God supply their needs, or by giving to the many missions around the world or at home. God blesses you freely and you should do the same for others,

Your Assignment

The first will be last,

And the last will be first.

Don’t compare yourself to others,

As you hunger and thirst.

Everyone’s life is different.

God’s timing is perfect in every way.

You may not get what you think,

That you deserve at the end of the day.

Mind your own business.

Let God take care of His business too.

None of us deserve anything,

So just do what you can do.

Don’t compare your life to others.

You have been made unique.

It is God and His love,

That you are supposed to seek.

Don’t seek what others have.

Do what God will have you do.

He will make all things good.

He will take care of you too.

He knows just what you need.

He made you who you are.

He thinks you are something special.

You are like a beautiful star.

You are part of a big universe.

Some parts are big and some are small.

You will fulfill your assignment,

Because the Creator made us all.

TRW 12-05-17

Matthew 20:6-16

6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, thatshall ye receive.

8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

It seems to be human nature for us to compare ourselves to others and many people are jealous of what others have. We need to keep our eyes on God and not on others. We need to live our lives to please God and not others. God is the Creator of all things and we cannot do enough to receive the reward of heaven. It is because of His love and grace and the sacrifice of Jesus that we have a chance for heaven. All of us cannot be a great evangelist like Billy Graham or a humble missionary like Mother Teresa of Calcutta. We all will be given a task to accomplish on this earth. Maybe you were born to bring just one person to Christ. If that was the Creator’s purpose and you have shared the gospel with that one person, then you have done your assignment. Keep your eyes focussed on God and not on others.
